I had articles published in qwesz.com a few weeks ago now. It's pr3 so should have been OK. Trouble is, articles haven't been indexed yet even though I've pinged them quite a few times. Are there any other good ways of getting articles indexed more quickly?
Of course there is, the best way to get new pages/websites indexed quickly is to simply build some quick backlinks to the website, I've found a blog post that should help you out with exactly what your looking for: http://www.alex-brooks.com/2010/01/18/identi-mass-group-joiner-script-great-for-indexing
Does anyone else have any tips? I'm trying to keep my social bookmarking sites for my main website and not connect that with my articles.
Why are you saving your social bookmarking for your main site? You definitely should be bookmarking your articles and your sub pages of the website
Yes it always helps to get some link juice toward the article URL either forum post, blog, social site etc..
Social bookmarking is a good way to get your articles indexed. You can bookmark your articles manually or by using semi automated bookmarking tools like Onlywire.com or Socialmarker.com.
Submitting to the big social bookmarking sites can usually get your indexed within a few hours. Just use a different account if you dont wish the site to be associated.
Not getting articles indexed is a serious problem. One easy suggestion would be choosing to publish on one of the top 5-10 article directories...those index really, really quick. Other then that, socially bookmark it, or add it as a link to a Wordpress blog.
It takes time. And if you really want to make a good backlinks to your site you should have backlinks to your backlinks.
You may need to get a couple of backlinks to the article via digg or other social bookmarking methods. Keep in mind a PR3 article directory may only get crawled once every week or two so it may take some time. Additionally, if there are thousands of articles on the site the chances of getting indexed are even slimmer. Your chances of getting indexed are greater when their is a direct link from the directory's homepage to your article. After it falls of the homepage it may never get indexed unless you get some backlinks to it.
If you want to get them indexed then either submit every permanent link of those articles in social networking websites and also bookmark them. Still i wouldn't advice you to use ping as this might get you penalized from Google. I am not sure about this but i have heard this before somewhere so just warning you up.
I've bookmarked the articles with a sb site and the bookmark showed up in Google a week ago but stillt he articles haven't. The articles are unique content not just spins with a few words changed and so Google should index.
Might as well write a shorter version and submit to article directories, backlinking to your articles. Alternatively, use commenting methods to articles in Hubpages, using the url or your articles as the website.
Tommi -- Can you explain more? What is the value of a backlink to a backlink, vs the value of getting a new backlink to the main LP somewhere else?
I thought sb sites would ban you if you created duplicate accounts? or do some allow this? If so which?
Get the url and submit it to pingomatic this will ping the url and get bots to it then it will get crawled.
