Question: What is better in terms of building organic traffic and/or search engine rankings? Submitting articles to article sites like Ezine and ArticleBase and linking back to your sites or posting articles on my sites and then pointing those to social/bookmarking sites like Digg and Stumbleupon?
Posting articles to article directories is a way of building natural traffic however it takes a while. If you go to ping.fm or onlywire.com and join the free social bookmarking sites then use these two services. Here's how..... Post your article on Ezine or which ever you are going to. Once your article is published..... ping it on Onlywire and Ping.fm. This will help speed the process. If you are trying to get traffic to your site a couple of questions would come to mind. Do you own your website or is it an affiliate link? What is your goal in getting traffic to your site......I mean what do you want them to do? Buy something?? Click links?? If it is an affiliate link.... I would go the route of posting articles to ezine directories and pinging the article......once posted..... with these two services but if it is YOUR site.... I would publish it on your site first. You can still publish to ezines. It is YOURS. If your intent is to get people to buy something on your web page.... and it is yours.... your best bet is to publish to ezines and send traffic using the services I mentioned that way you can focus your site on selling rather than articles. Sorry it was so long. But there it is..... the long and short of it.
