Articles for Backlinks - What's the best method?

    Hi all :)

Regarding getting backlinks using articles, how would say is the best way of going about it?

Say I was going to write 1 or 2 articles a day, would it be best to write these articles, and submit to as many article directories as I can? Or would it be best to write 1 or 2 and submit them each to different directories, and throughout a length of time hit all the top article directories with unique articles? Or even would you say it's worth spinning the articles?

    Thanks :)

I'll prefer to pick top 10-15 article directories like eZine, goarticles etc and publish articles over there. If you can spin your articles that will help much...

I guess the reason no-one is asnwering is that there're so so many questions like this already and your question has been answered a huge number of times.

Overall, no-one seems to agree on one thing... I personally prefer to do it differently... sometimes one article to many directories, sometimes just to one, sometimes I still article... got the drift?

If you have time to write many articles, just go for submitting them to as many directories as possible... otherwise you can always spin them up and still submit to directories.

Aside from submitting articles to article directories, you could write an article **for** a particular website, and then ask that website to link back to your website after they make the article live on their site. A client from vWorker hired me to do this and from what I understand, it worked quite well for him.

Takes a lot of articles to get a decent amount of backlinks, tho!

I submit my articles only to ezinearticles, goarticles and articlesbase. Always using unique articles which I then promote to push them
higher and higher in the Search Engine Rankings. Because these articles are your unique articles you can publish them on every blog
which you own and therefore drive more traffic to your site.

It doesn't really work to submit the same article to multiple directories. At least not for SEO. The duplicate content rules will devalue links from the exact same article. Plus it's against the rules to post duplicate articles on some directories. Now you could always "Spin" the articles (best to do it by hand) which means basically rewrite the same content, just try to say it a little differently. That way there is no duplicate content, and one article idea goes out to many sites, instead of just one.

By the way. I've been trying SEO Link vine for spinning and submitting articles and it seems to be working fairly well.

article submission to directories is a good idea but consider creating unique content when you submit.
