Do you mean in the Author's profile? If so, the authors haven't used a hyperlink in the articles, which they are free to do. .... but I amn't sure if that's what you mean? Thanks for the comment Margaret
For instance: http://net-magazines.net/Article/How-to-Install-a-Prehung-Door/23 You can't click on their link (Its dead)
The site was built using a new script which is in "Test" mode - I'll toddle over there and ask them to make sure the author profile gets a hyperlink, if you think that it will keep me out of the legal mire Thanks Margaret
This site looks like all the other million sites where just domains are parked for time being. Really no alignment for tables and images in the page. I don't know what the result will be if the page is to be validated at wc3.org
I haven't tried to validate the pages - to be more truthful, although I have done some basic editing to the template, I was more concerned about getting the site working than the html of the pages. Once I'm convinced that the authors have got their script finalised, I can spend a bit (Much!) more time customising the look. I'm still stuck on my old monitor with 800x600 screen resolution and the site appears ok on it. What are you using? Thanks Margaret
I am using Firefox with 1024x768 My site is developed in this resolution. It fits 800x600 though. because my table is 775Px wide.
Margaret, I had a lot of trouble... and a few remarks that may help you: Why ask for full name and address ? If there is a good reason, you must state it very clearly There is no summary of your privacy policy You should write specifically something like 'We do not spam - view our privacy policy' If you do not write it, many people (like me) would interpret it as 'this is a spammer' and go away State is not required in many countries I made several erroneous entries in my address and I received several confirmation emails I choosed one of the 4 emails, validated the link then I could not login probably because of cookies (Sorry, your login attempt failed - my login was aramyus if you want to debug) The rest of the site (read only forms) looks ok Good luck
Hi, Aramyus - sorry you had a difficult time signing up - the developers are aware of the multi email problem and are working on a fix for the bug. I checked your reg. details and it appears as if you managed to confirm your registration ok. It happened to me when I created an author account for myself and my fix was to sign in using Firefox and then log out again. That seemed to clear the cookies (ok, guessing a bit ) - and I was able to post articles after that. The address fields in the sign-up form? - well, that came with the script. As the script is encoded, I can do nothing to disable those fields. It's certainly not a major issue with me - and I haven't seen anyone else making a request for a fix on the Articledashboard support forum. Thanks for the suggestion about the spam - I put a note in the footer to say in effect that's not my style and that's the truth I appreciate you taking the time to comment. .... When/if you feel inclined to post some articles, I look forward to reading them. Thanks Margaret
