Articles at articlebase will not help in SEO efforts! Why add the nofollow artribute?

Can anyone tell me what the guys at articlebase are thinking?

I don't seem to understand this. Why are the links at articlebase nofollow? read this: Article Publication Editorial Guidelines - ArticlesBase.com

I can assure you that most webmasters who submit articles there are not aware of this fact.

All article submitted at articlebase will not help in your SEO efforts!! True they may drive some traffic to your website, but why not help both in instant traffic and SEO? At least that will be a good compensation your articles.

Guess that is why ezine articles still stands out as the best so far.

Why should articlebase put the nofollow attribute on their directory?

Can anyone help tell me why?

in an attempt to counter growing amount of spam submissions. lot of sites go nofollow after one point and spammers are the ones to be blamed for

wow thanx for letting me know. You just saved me so much time lol. BTW I have no idea why they have no follow on their directory. I always considered article directories as a resource for backlinks & traffic as a bonus.

Hmmm, you guys didn't know that? I prefer articlebase to ezine as it's not used by spammers and scammers as much and articles on it are more likely to get picked up by webmasters and posted on their blogs delivering you links that actually count.

Not sure how long you've been in the webmaster business, but links from articles directories will bump your PR, but will not help you rank better at all. The only help is if your articles are published by other webmasters with retained resource box. Then you are getting a link that counts. Ezine is worthless, you will only get your articles stolen and will see them republished all over the net with your links removed and someone elses put in instead.
