Articles and Press Releases

If you write an article and/or press release, should you submit them to tons of different places? Or should you write a different one for each place you would like to submit?

Also if you have a site that has articles, should you submit those articles to different places?

    Any input will be appreciated.

Never submit the original article/press release that you have written for your site to other websites. spin it for better reasons like seo.

Keep the content on your site original. I wouldn't
    even spin it.

But with articles not used on your site, it depends
    on what you're looking for.

Do you want those press releases/article submissions
to rank or are you just looking for backlinks.

If you're looking for ranking, then use a unique article
per submit and build backlinks to that submit.

If you're just looking for backlinks then go ahead and
    spam the thing everywhere.

Yes, I think you should submit them to several websites to increase the exposure of your article or press release.. But if you are conscious about SEO, then you should consider rewriting your contents so that you will get backlinks for every article or press release submission you make..

POst the ones that you created on your blog and then hire someone to create an article which you will passing on article directories. In that way the contents are always fresh both for your site and article directories.

there are 2 reasons for submitting an article to article directories. one is to build backlinks and other is for syndication purposes. if you write an article on your site, then its perfectly OK to submit the article to article syndication sites like ezine which will increase visibility for your article. however, make sure you give it enough time for your article to be indexed/cached on google before you submit it anywhere else. you need to be credited for the original article source

IMO, you can submit articles to your site, after 4-5 time cached you can published to anywhere like articles, press release and blogs. but you have to given the authority of your site like resource from there.

Submit your article to social bookmarking sites like Digg, Delicious and Stumble Upon. If topic is related to forums topics submit it to forums. Article submission sites like ezinearticles.
