One thing is still for sure, that if you try to emerge on the market with a new product, service or something like that, no matter where you advertise, be it on the Internet, in newspapers, e-zines, or other kind of media, then you definitely need an article or a powerful press release. And make sure you make it newsworthy, not sales letterish.
Rebecca, I am one with you here From my own experience, press releases work more to raise the public awareness of your, let's say, product/service. Article come in addition to help boost the sales. So if you have some quality articles on your website, they will inevitably work for your success.
I can say that content writing will surely help improve your visibility through the web. If you are submitting articles and are syndicated to thousands sites, then that is a great potential in doing business.
i'm an excellent article writer...most of my work is extremely high quality and can be compared to articles in major US and international newspapers. contact me if you want to buy new articles. I charge a minimum of GBP50(or US$ 100) per 1000 word article.
They both work. It takes some time to learn how to write effectively. Things like using the best keywords for your chosen subject and what you are trying to achieve.
I have done article writting but I find it hard to make any sales with so much competition. Also artilces is more for the long-term and if you want fast results it may not be the best method for you! If you are looking for zero investment marketing methods, make sure to check my signature file. Good Luck! Ivan
ivan you are right about the competition, but there's another perpsective to it. you see, competition is actually a great thing because it helps us discover our unique abilities that other people don't have. All of us have our own unique core competences that we can develop into our NICHE. We just have to discover them. If you take my example, I write about international relations, cross-cultural / international marketing, organic article-based search engine optimization and global public sentiment. That's what I do best. Maybe if I tried writing about internet-money making schemes or affiliates, or direct sales copy, I wouldn't be so good at it.
It does work really well. Check out the Warrior Forum, they offer some really good info on "bum marketing" or article marketing (same thing)
Hi, Ivan, I know what you are pointing at - competition is getting fierce because the field of writers is spreading fast. To me that's a good direction, however, I feel competition quite stimulating. What is more, with time passing by, good writers just stay. Cheers, Tigs
