I believe it Is one of the best laptops you can get even though the price is a little steep you will eventually see the benefits of the Macbook. It Is not as light as the Macbook Air but it is pritty light. (Unless you dont go to the gym often.) Macbooks comes pre-Installed wIth the new operating system Mac OS X leopard. This operating system Is very reliable for running multiple content and I believe it can run more programs smoother than a standard XP laptop. If you prefer to keep with good old XP or Vista after trying Mac OS X Leopard, I would recommend not simply trying to get a refund I would recommend using the handy Bootcamp program pre-installed with Leopard. This will allow you to install XP or Vista on your hard drive without removing Leopard. How does that work then?, Pritty simple, simply set how much you would like to share on your hard drive for XP/Vista it will create a partition (It Is like a mini hard drive In the Hard Drive. E.G. C:\ Then when partitioned you get a smaller C:\ and a D:\). After that it will ask you to put your XP/Vista CD/DVD disk In the drive. It will check the disk and reboot your laptop/computer and start the installation. The laptop Is extremely good as well for video creation, As a bonus It has a built-in Camera and Microphone. I have used this many times on MSN whilst been on XP. Running smoothly and having many Video Convosations with my friends. So how does it perform?, I dId a quick performance test I had some programs that would normally lag my 512MB RAM, 1GHZ computer. I quickly installed a Flash Professional Trial, Dreamweaver Trial and Fireworks Trial. I ran Flash on my 512MB it slowed it down alot, Then came fireworks it nearly crashed and finally dreamweaver the computer gave up and I rebooted. Now I did the exact same test on my Macbook. First Flash, No change seemed to run smootly. Next Fireworks... It seemed to run smoothly again, Finally came my Dreamweaver trial just a little stumble but all seemed well I could most likely search the internet at the same time. Overall I would give the laptop 8/10 the outsIde design is nice and the performance Is brilliant but the price takes away two marks as it is alot more expensive you could probably get the same laptop with XP for about half or maybe even less than that price.
