Article Writing for your Amazon store?

    Hello All,

Are people writing articles to drive traffic to their Amazon / niche sites? I see a lot of discussion about finding very narrow niche topics and targeting a couple of blog posts to it with your Amazon link embedded, but that only seems to work for a few products. How do you do that for an entire topic, say "Childrens Art Supplies"?

People write articles to drive traffic/sales and boost organic rankings for every type of site! The trick is finding somewhere that will distribute those articles to directories. I have a great resource for that, but it still takes writing the article to get the backlinks!

If you have a broader topic, like "childrens art supplies", break it down into sub topics and different things you could write about. e.g. You could write articles about how to look after art equipment, the best art supplies, how to encourage children to draw, ideas for childrens art projects etc. etc.

Just write interesting articles about what people want to hear about, put your links in and the traffic will come :)

if you have a specific niche you might want to create a blog or site about it and write articles
also you can submit other articles to directories and include links to amazon and links to your site/blog
this way you might even get some organic traffic to your site/blog and some purchasing traffic to amazon directly

I would say yes.. Article writing for an Amazon store is a great way to get traffic to your niche sites because it leads the customer directly to the merchandise. Most customers like myself like to read reviews or a description of a product before buying and if it is a great article with a lot of content, the customers will buy it. I heard EzineArticles is a great directory to publish articles and with a PR 8, your article could come up front page in the search engines depending on the topic but it will surely be in the top 2 pages.

Yeah, content is king, People write article to hopefully get traffic.
Say you read something about a very interesting thing, and in the text you may find a link to the authors homepage which you maybe click on to get more info of the article or the author=traffic.

Writing articles certainly won't do harm: besides the extra traffic, you can use links from your author resource box to increase your website's ranking.

Quick tip: most article directories allow 2-3 links per article, and most people tend to use self-serving links aimed at their main domain. To Google is a dead give-away those articles are meant to serve as linkspam. Always point one of those links towards wikipedia or another reputable site.
