The number of article directories that accept your article will depend on the topic. A good example is a gambling article I submitted for someone didn't get accepted as much as an RV outdoor travel article. There are about 600+ directories it can potentially get submitted to and then you need to remember that those directories will often have publishers subscribed who will then spread your articles even further.
