dont' u think quoting such low prices is actually resulting in a drop in quality over here at DP? i mean, the standard is $2/100 words, and if u have the capacity to slash the rates to 1/4th and still deliver good quality and turnaround,its great! but i think due to this "free market" competition thing the overall standards of wages and quality are both going down...
I agree with you, but the only way I can get work is by charging such low rates. If I charged $2/100 words nobody would hire me and I wouldn't earn a dime. I think it's crap the way prices keep getting lower, it's great if you are the consumer, but you just can't make money anymore.
yeah right, But its ok to work at low rates for people like me, coz i live in a 3rd world country and cost of living aint high here, but i think we shoul ask the moderators to arrange a writers' union to set a price band over content at DP.. a lot of other mediums like Elance and Guru have projects that are offering really good price and eventually writers may flee to those places if not paid a handsome ammount!
