Article Websites - Should I Submit My Article To One Site, Or Lots?

    Hi there,

I've been writing some articles recently to get myself some backlinks but I'm not sure if I'm using them the best way possible.
I'm wondering, should I submit my article to the top article site? (Highest PR) Or should I submit it to several of the top article websites?

I'm wondering this because if I submit the article once then it is going to be unique content, so hopefully my backlink will have more strength. Or am I wrong, should I submit it to several article sites to get several high PR backlinks? (even if it is going to be duplicate content).

    Thanks for any help.
    Matt

Submitting it to several might violate their terms of service. I don't know you'll have to check on that. Also, submitting to one article site will get you duplicate content. That article might then appear on other websites creating duplicate content and possibly nullifying your link. Personally, I don't submit to article directories.

Sorry I'm not sure if I mean article directories - but the websites like ezinearticles.com.

I thought that most of the article sites didn't mind if you submit that same article to another site?

And yes, I realise that articles will get copied - as I have noticed with a lot of my own when randomly browsing the Internet :(

I say always try to create variation. The articles will get copied anyway, but the fewer duplicates the better. You don't have to rewrite the whole thing, just switch a few things around and maybe change the wording in a couple of the top paragraphs.

Ahh right, okay thanks for the help.

Another question regarding articles - I've pretty much written about every subject my website is related to, on more than one occasion - if I were to write about content which isn't really related to my website, will the backlinks to my website still be appreciated by the search engines?

    Thanks again.

Actually if you submit your article to ezinearticles.com, the article will be picked up by other websites too. (ofcourse with your backlink)

Try using ur article as a widgetbox tool for ur website or use it as a WTF in Technorati. This brings good targeted traffic to your websites.

Not too sure about what you mean - a widgetbox tool? WTF in Technorati?

Thanks for the help so far.

i allways prefer to submit one article to only high pr article sites.

google may filter some of the backlinks because of duplicate content
