I had written an article on my website about apple ipad, someone stolen it without permission. Article on my place: http://www.infopakistan.pk/2010/03/...-computers-apple-ipad-touch-screen-tablet-pc/ Article on thief's place: http://touchpads.trendr.net/2010/03/new-apple-ipad-changes-the-way-we-use-portable-computers-apple How can I make em take down my article? what I can do about it? Where i can report it ?
Do a search for trendr.net and you'll find that their WHOIS claims to be on DreamHost. Look at the DreamHost terms of service: Try pointing out the situation to DreamHost.
yes that dreamhost was good point but you can also report to google adsense and other systems which the thief use for revenue and they will block his / her account. best wishes
Thanks, this event have been reported to both dreamhost and google! Hoping for positive response. Update:Ok i have got following response! Now whats that all DMCA Stuff!
Search for DMCA or DMCA notification to find the requirements for such a notification. It's a way to report a copyright violation. Maybe you complained about that site stealing your content, so they are asking you to formally state that it is your content. If you had claimed that the site was violating the DreamHost scraper site terms of service, the process might be different.
You could also give them a $250 invoice. Angela Hoy over at WritersWeekly.com has some great articles about content thieves. writersweekly.com/the_latest_from_angelahoycom/003316_03082006.html That's a great article about how someone else received payment for her stolen content.
