The company I work for run a large network of websites and employ a team of full-time content writers to produce articles for the sites. At the moment each unique article is only published once on a single site. Are we missing out on valuable backlinks by not syndicating the best of these articles?
IMHO, no. You could rewrite some of the content and submit to places like EZA for potential traffic. However, just the links aren't going to be to valuable these days and less in the future. Really, the type of site you have and its purpose decides what you should do in regards to marketing. A better idea would be to find sites like yours and see if you can offer some exclusive content in exchange for publicity (link back, etc). Of course, you can do both if you have the resources.
Thanks for the advice - exactly what I was after. I was basically tossing up between syndication and what you suggest so you've helped make my decision. Thanks again.
For valuable link building for your sites through article marketing, I would recommend you the following stratetiges which are really working for me: 1. Building squidoo pages with linking back to the main and inner pages of your site 2. Creating hub pages using the same tactic 3. Submitting unique articles to ezinearticles - my most favorite article directory and goarticles. You may also consider top 10 article directories. Better to choose do-follow ones. 4. Submit your best articles to niche forums which are accepting articles. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
