Its true that it depends on the article directory. I always thought it was better to put the link in the body text of your article as google would find this to be more relevant and it would add more authority than the resource box.

It depends on directory. there is resource box in which you can add two links, through which you can jump on your site.

it depends on directory. put some keywords related to your site in body part and put one or two links in resource box. so you can jump on your site.

Most directories let you include a link to your article in the resource box.

Put the links in the author bio, i would suggest you to make a natural looking resource bio which includes a bit about you and your sites, perhaps your twitter and facebook accounts. if you put the links in the article body, most good article directories will just delete your article, some will even ban you, so no point plugging your links in the article body.

lol, then stop writing and start reading!

    my thoughts exactly :p

Technically, the resource box is the appropriate way of putting links. But if you are adding a link to an SEO stand point, lets say you are optimizing for the Keyword "Best Motorbike", they just make it clickable and you will get a link from that KW. If the article site is a high page rank site like Ezine Articles which is PR 6, then you will be optimizing for that KW..Hope it helps..

Hi, it's always better to use the 'resource box', but if the article directory allows you to place link in the body text, don't simply post your link or use HTML to link 'my link'. find the exact keyword in the article text and link your url to it . That will be more effective. for ex: if you are an SEO Company and you have a word 'SEO' in the article, link the word to you article.

As has been said it all depends on the directory .. this one allows links - Why Do but there are some that will not allow it in the article itself ... such as EZA.

Articlesbase is good for allowing links within the body of the article and for indexing quickly and ranking well within Google.
