Article submit concern

Ok guys, I have a quick question, I submitted a few articles to article directories, I then found my articles on someones website, which should be good, but he did not have the link back to my site active. He still had mysite.com listed at the end of the article but it wasn't active, I thought people had to leave that intact? Will I still get any benefit from that? Will it hurt me? Anything I can do, I already emailed him.

All you can really do is contact them and try to get it sorted out. Hopefully you were polite and acted like it may have been a mistake on their part. I have done this in the past and quite often they will apologize and place your links in the article. However, I am so busy any more and have so many article "out there" I dont worry about it.

It is unfortunate that some webmasters do this, but many times it is because they copied and pasted the text directly from the article directory instead of using the "get the code" feature. That is why I now add the url to my articles without an anchor. At least the url will show up even if it isnt clickable.

You could also have your lawyer send them a cease and desist order.

There is basically nothing that you can do besides requesting them to conform to the guidelines. Unless of course you are willing to spend money and take on aggravation or if the offending web master is asset rich.:)

Why would anyone submit an article that they expect to either get credit for or potentially make a profit on without first finding out what the terms are? If you were just trying to get your work out there and be published then you should be satisfied with the results. We live and learn.

Don't get a lawyer like someone said because at least my lawyer anyways would send me a bill for at least $150 for sending out a cease and desist. All you need to do is send the website an email asking them to place a link to your website stating you were the source for the article or ask them to remove the article. If they don't do that and its really bugging you then use WhoIs and contact their web provider.

Not really worth worrying about, the internet is full of scraper sites that don't properly give credit.

Yep, pretty much. You could contact him if you really want to, I guess it wouldn't hurt. It won't hurt you even if it's broken link so nothing too much to worry about either.

Just think about all the other links you are receiving that are back links. Don't waste your time that you can use to submit more articles with instead.
