hi i have a question about article submissions,if anyone can help me i will appreciate that. For example,i want to add an article to 200 directories article submissions.Does it mater if the article is unique? Should i add a different unique article for each article directory? thanks
Although there's no indication or evidence saying google will actually penalize your ranking if you decided to submit the same articles to 200 directories, I would tell you it's best to just avoid doing that. So far, I think the only one worthwhile to concentrate on is Ezinearticles and it's really no point to submit to so many when you have one reliable directory to focus on. Just my point of view.
I'd have to agree with lycos, submitting the same article to 200 article directories is probably a waste of time from an seo perspective. Personally if I do use article directories I submit one piece of content to 3 article directories at most. My two main ones in that regard are as lycos said, ezinearticles and then buzzle as well. Not that I'm suggesting this, since I don't do it myself and as such cannot vouch for the results - but people who do mass submissions to article directories usually spin their content (check out jetspinner or seonuke which has a spinning option as well). That way you can get google to pick up different versions of the same piece of content - the value of your content then and how much traffic it drives is a different matter and will in part depend on how much effort you put into the spinning. Like I said, don't use the method myself but you see it done with some success for affililate sites every now and again - but then those sites are usually not built to last either. Hope that helps, Regards, -CP-
Submitting an article to 200 different directories should be definitely avoided. Adding different unique article for each article directory is not the point but you can submit an article to a much lesser number of directories.
what can you say if I (for example) submitted different versions of the article to the article directories?
Will submitting the exact same content to multiple sites hurt you? Most definately NOT. Otherwise news organizations like the Associated Press (www.ap.org) would be biotch slapped by Google in about 20 minutes. Think about it. The AP distributes a news article to newspapers, and those newspapers publish it verbatim. News sites do NOT "spin" the news story one bit. Google doesn't distinguish between a news story and an article. Its all just content to Googlebot, so its all indexed the same. By publishing your article to 200 sites, you might get as many as 200 backlinks. HOWEVER! If your article has the same baklink anchor text, Google can (and does) modify the weight that link gives you in an effort to prevent Google Bombing. Thus, if you have 100 articles with the exact same anchor text in your links submitted to 1000 sites, you will not gain the benefit of 100,000 backlinks. For example, if you use the keyword "Widget" as your anchor text in all 100,000 links, you will not see a huge increase in the rankings for the search term "Widget". Another danger you have is that if you publish the exact same article on your site, Google may determine that a different site is a better resource than yours and they may rank first for your content. Take the AP again for example. They rarely rank first for their very own news stories because Google usually views someplace like Yahoo! News or MSNBC a better resource for news. Just Google the latest headline off the AP site for confirmation. This same thing can happen to your site. The process of spinning is just another way to spam search engines, and I really do not recommend it. By spinning an article on your site, you can attempt to gain backlinks AND have the unique content that Google loves. It is also spam because it is essentially the same information presented in the hope that if a searcher doesn't find your unique content on your site then they just might find the "spun" content on someone else's site and click through to yours. Submit your article to as many sites as you can. You don't have to change it up for each article directory, but you can. Use a toold like the DigiXMas Article Submitter (see the Digixmas link in my sig or visit www.digixmas.com), and write a couple different Titles and Resource boxes for it, making sure to vary the anchor text of any links. Don't worry about duplicate content unless you also publish the article on your site (in which case you must be aware of the Duplicate Content FILTER which is not to be confused with a Duplicate Content PENALTY).
I’ve submitted my articles to few directories and the only significant traffic I got was from Ezinearticles. So, I guess other services are – more or less - just a waste of time!
If you want to submit to 200 article directories, submit 1 unique article to each article directories. (this is require of lots of works!)
Hi, It's better to go for 10 articles for 200 article directories. So you can submit 1-article content to 20-article directories. Again question arises that why 10 article contents why not 1 aritcle content, see if you generate 10 contents and targetting your main keywords in each content it would be better that generating 1 content and submitting to 200 directories. If you want article submissions service i can do it. Please contact me at - texasddc at gmail dot com
You don't need to submit unique article to every article directory as long as you're the real author of article. I think article directories has an exemption with duplicate content.
If you want different versions of the article to be submitted to article directories, you can do so but to a limit. You must try to maintain balance and exercise limit.
Submitting your original articles to article directories is time-tested and very cost effective. It's one of the most SEO friendly methods available to distribute your content and build links to your website.
http://www.ezinearticles.com this is the best site both for traffic and quality of the links. It's not a magical solution but I wouldn't bother with any other article directory sites.
From actual personal experiences, spamming one article to 1,000 + places gets you backlinks and an initial boost in SERPs. Or, that depends. The first time I did it, I got a HUGE boost in SERPs, the second time I did it I got eliminated from the top 1000 for a few weeks. Then I came back. Why did my site come back? The backlinks from the article spamming disappeared after a couple weeks. In the end, the spamming did absolutely nothing. My conclusion is, sending one unique article to one place has as much impact long-term as mass spamming. Paying people for article submission is a waste of money and time.
While I understand how submitting articles to 100 or 200 or more directories can backfire with no postive end results. The question I have then is can it hurt in any way to submit many, say 10-15 articles a week to one or two article submission sites? Does it not follow that, within reason, submitting many unique articles that are reasonably well written can only benefit your site or is there a rule of thumb where you need to slow down. Using the example of the AP or the UPI the content just keeps on coming and coming, would the same not apply for large numbers of well written articles?
There are two main methods: 1. Submit the same article everywhere. This is when you don't care about SEs. You're looking for direct traffic. 2. Submit only exclusive stuff. This is when you do care about SEs. Simple as that.
You can submit a article in the different article directory but the content will not be duplicate one.
Article submission is the best one for long time period to get traffic. While doing submissions try to submit in those having good PR. Article content should never be duplicate one.
