Manual works very well for a lot of people. I think the submission bots might create a duplicate content issue and benefit you much less than submitting fewer articles to quality sites.

Why don't you use manual article submissions services in this forum. I think they are cheap as well. Just go to services section and you will find loads.

I found none of these article sites brought any traffic to me. The articles get buried so deep it's not funny.

    Col :)

I don't agree. Some of my articles actually got picked and used on various websites. Also DevShed forums published one of my articles as well.

Maybe, you won't get direct traffic from article sites, but if they are written well, somebody will put it on their site, with your links on it as well.

I thing article directories are great source for backlinks and traffic.

I still get visitors almost every day from several articles that I wrote/submitted back in December 2005.

I believe with the right articles these article sites are beneficial.

I agree, if your articles are relevant to the particular category and it's of high quality, it will get pick up by many webmasters.

I got an Article Directory from one of the Article Distributors above, it gets me traffic from different keywords w/ less seo. Gets crawled and indexed good by Google, 25000+ pages. But still, I'm still monitoring it's 3rd month, who knows G may drop them.

Articles do help in terms of SEO and traffic. Provided you submit to the active article directories. For example, articles in non-active directories normally cannot be found in the SERP but there still be a chance that people will read it and visit your site.

Articles that are indexed by the search engines are the best cause they will bring you traffic and count as backlink :)

I have heard a trend of writers submitting to Constant Content with free usage with imbedded links. It's a lengthy process, but it would likely result in your article possibly ending up on a bigger site. Mind you, this is only in theory and rumor.

Try http://www.articlepostrobot.com . Many members on Warrir Forum, Keyword Avalanche Forum, MetaWebs.com are using it. It is also used by many gurus including TimG, Paulie Sabol, Dr. Andy Wallims, and gurus from Stompernet, .... Many others.

You can post article to about 378 sites by clicking ONE button ONCE. You don't have to click 'submit' button on each article site one by one which takes a long time. The site list is at http://www.articlepostrobot.com/sitelists.htm which covers most high page rank article sites.

Also, use Article Post Robot, you can make each article site have an unique version of your article. So, you do not have to worry about 'duplication penalty'.

you can request a 7-day demo by sending an email to help(at)articlepostrobot.com
