I do not understand why there are so many talks about do follow and no follow. You can see inside Google Webmasters tool there are links from Twitter and Facebook that are no follow. Google follow each link. May be Google's calculation for PR only includes do follow; additionally the link juice may not be following from that link. Nothing else. Get quality back links; do not bother too much about do follow and no follow.
Make sure you mix you backlinks. Make it look natural. A couple no follows in the bunch would be good for naturalism.
