I've heard that if you submit to an article directory the same content you have on your site google hates it. Well my question is, should I focus on writing more articles for my site or articles for directory submission? Also should I submit all my articles to the same directory (ezinearticles)? I have about 40 unique articles and 100 exercise explanations on the site now (fitnesslifelive.com). What is yalls opinions on this?
submit as many as you want to ezinearticless I have 45 and counting there then idstribute them around to different ezines in your niche

i personally think your website... but this is just my experience. i spin my content so issue it on my site and then spin it so its unique and then post on article sites.
So what if they don't get indexed? First off, those articles and or your site FIRST has to land high. Just because you do the seo does not mean they will. It doesn't work that way. Your goal is to have your articles seen by as many people as possible. Right? 10 sites, like an online health magazine, multiplied by, say, 1,000 monthly readers (around 32 daily readers) is 10,000 new visitors. You can't get that from a search engine, even if you are lucky enough to land high.
I think you take a topic, write an article of about 250 words for Ezine and then also write on the same topic for your website just from a different view.. The more articles you have on your website the better traffic you will get aswell, but for building traffic and getting your website seen Ezine will help tremendously..
I think you should combine this. Adding fresh content to your website is important, but article marketing is important as well. If you wish to publish the same article to article directories I suggest you rewrite it to avoid duplicate content.
