Article Submissions - no backlink

    Hey All,
I've been submitting some articles through ezinearticles. What I find is that some people do not give you a backlink or they do not ensure that the link is active (it is just text). What can I do about this? Most of the sites do not have ANY contact info on them.

    Thanks,

if they dont give you a link - then how do you even know they are using your articles?

I search for either my name or the title of the article in google.

Unfortunately there isnt very much that you can do for this situation. Just making sure to have the url written out can help some. If you use only anchor text then webmasters like this will only use the text, but if you include the url they will often include that even if it is only text - better than nothing.

There are many ways of finding your articles without the backlink.

You could look up their WHOIS information, could you not?

This happens to me a lot of times and it pisses me right off, but I don't really pay attention to it much anymore. Chances are those sites are nothing but crap anyway so the link isn't really worth it.

The sites usually are garbage, so a link from them wouldn't do squat to benefit you.

But OTHER negative things can happen as a result of someone taking your articles and posting them without giving you credit. A few months back I found my ezinearticles account was suspended, and I contacted them about this. They told me one of my articles was found on some low quality, poorly made blog, and the blogger didn't even put my contact info. So they assumed I stole the article from the blog, despite already having several approved articles. I guess the editors operate on a "guilty until proven innocent" basis.
