Article Submissions - How Many?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by gamefray, Jan 31, 2008.

    Hello,

I want to submit some articles to article directories, but I want to know how many I should submit an individual article to. Should I submit it to just one, so there is no duplicate content? Or many? Or the authority article directories only?

I am doing it for the main purpose of getting backlinks and traffic through the articles.

None, use the articles on your website. Why would you give unique content to another site just for a backlink with little next to none Pagerank\SEO value? Haven't you and I gone over this already :)

Then, you want to submit unique articles, change them up so the content is different per submission if you insist on doing it :)

Well, you are on the right track, but not entirely accurate

It is important to to put articles on your website first and wait untill they get indexed so that your website gets full credit, then you can use those same articles in authority article directories starting with ezinearticle.com, goarticles.com and searchwarp.com as long as they link back to your website, otherwise they may get refused because of copyright infringement, however, if you are the origional author and have them on your own website then you are allowed to submitt them to directories as well

If you feel that you don't need the extra content on your website then don't bother putting them on and just go ahead and submit away

There is no such thing a duplicate content penalty when it comes to you submitting your own articles to multiple directories, although the search engines may only pick up a few occurances of your article you must keep in mind that there are people who browse various article directories and therefore you can get that "walk in" traffic

Think about this for a moment... if you searched for something like "Britanny spears is dating poparazzi" you will find the that google will bring up the exact same article being braodcast on several different webpages

That in itself debunks the myth of duplicate penalty

submit the same article to many directories, u can submit as many articles as u can.

at the moment, my site is PR2, for this site I have submitted about 100 articles to I think 70 directories.

the problem is that, out of 70 directories, only 20 directories are the one which google counted.

I see only these 20 in webmaster tools :(

You can get valuable links from submitting your articles to directories. We have 1 or 2 PR5 or PR6 links from submitting our articles to directories - plus you get traffic.

Submit your articles to several directories

No "that's" not accurate, where the article is published first has zero impact on anything and is not even considered in Google.

I agree with ssandecki on this 100%, write good content and put it on your own domain and reap the benefit. However i own a couple of article directories, so be my guest and work your backside off creating content to beef up my site because it does me more good than it does for you.

Don't you guys understand that I add a page of content to my website every 1-3 days. So I don't need anymore content for my website. Plus, I get tons of traffic from articles listed on other websites. So i just want to know the best way to do it.

I am agree with vstar. First put article in your site. When these indexed, then submit these articles in different web directories. These will provide you good traffic as well and will give full credit to you for your content. I don't think there is any duplicate content penalty but try not to copy content of other sites. It's always good good to create your own content.

    Thank's

As far as traffic concern article submissions is good, but keep in mind these links are not going to provide healthy link juice for your websites.
you can submit article up to 50 very good article directories more than i won't suggest you.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Bloomtools.

    Why?

It makes NO difference where it gets indexed first, why do people keep saying this?
