I would like to start writing articles as a method of improving backlinks. To get the greatest distribution of my articles, I would like to submit them to as many article sites as possbile. In some threads, I've read there are like 180. What is the most effective way to do this, especially if I plan to do this long term. 1. Where can I get the list of these 180 or so sites? 2. Do I have to register at each site individually? 3. What is the best software to autosubmit or do I have to manually submit to each? Thank you.
What I would suggest first is to make sure your articles are keyword rich and every square inch of it is relevant. The links leaving your articles should be keyworded as well, and pointed to a page where that same keyword has good keyword weight and relevancy to the topic. Are your articles going to be based somewhere that you can do rss or ATOM feeds? I would strongly suggest this. Then afterwards head over to the big 3 SE's and do a search query line like "TOPIC"+"article submission" or "YOUR TOP RANKING KEYWORD"+"article submission". Obviously whats in caps is for you to fill in, and yup the quotation marks stay as well as the plus sign. Many sites allow for you to submit your feeds, and its great viral marketing for anyone who picks it up. Yea, there are sites out there that require registration. Some require fees from what I've heard. But I can tell you it is worth it if your articles are relevant and interesting. Personally I would advise against submitting with software. I know you want to do this quickly and get it over with, but truth be told, the software isn't going to find you the right sites. You could end up posting your article and text links back to your site on a page that the SE's have penalized or finds completely irrelevant or spammy, and in the end hurts you. Also, you can take your best articles and submit them (manually) to high traffic press release sites like prweb.com. I know that there is a list somewhere in this forum of free ones. Good luck and I hope this helped ya
Thank you, that was really informative. I did find a script that would make a feed of my site, which I did. I'm not really sure what to do with this feed now. I've read that if you submit this feed to my yahoo, and feedburner, the spiders will come, but other then that, where else do you submit.
