what if i write a article on my blog on monday and submit it the dictionaries on friday is this effect anything
Well this depends on how fast your site is getting indexed by google I suppose. You may also want to be careful about submitting the exact same info, if you do you are always running the risk of the article directory getting more pull in the search engines than your own site. I guess depending on your marketing strategy this may not be a bad thing, just something to consider.
Best way to do this without the article directory out ranking you in the search engines is to post your article on your blog. Do a rewrite of the article to submit to the article directory with a backlink using your keywords to your blog post in the resource box.
It really depends on what you're trying to achieve with your article marketing. I guess it's never too late. Furthermore, I'd really recommend you rewrite or spin the articles before submitting, otherwise Google will probably slap you for duplicant content (if the article somehow gets accepted).
