There are sites like AC and CC but are there any other sites that buy articls for a pretty decent price?
You might be better off finding independent companies/individuals that are looking for content creation services via the buy/sell/trade section of DP.
Daily Articles is a lot like Constant Content except it's a little more organized. Also you might want to look at the Helium marketplace where people are looking for articles. The only problem with that is if you right it and they don't choose yours, then there is no compensation upfront. There are plenty of them out there, and if things don't go well for you at the BST area here on DP, then just branch out to other venues. eHow is like AC, but they are all How to articles. I'm sure you will find plenty just searching.
You could try offering your services on Craigslist. There's a section for "writing and editing' services. If you meet any clients there, make sure they pay you up front before writing anything. If you want to sell articles that you already have written, wait and make sure their payment goes through without any problems before sending the articles to them. In other words, just use common sense if you sell articles on Craigslist.
Textbroker, Bright Hub and Demand Studios are good. They pay pretty well, but you may begin to feel hemmed in by their topics. Bright Hub gives quite a bit of freedom within your channel.
Why dont you try calling a magazine company or companies that publish weekly. I think the magazine company might offer you something good.
I don't think most magazines engage anybody who is not a professional, expert or very good writer. Otherwise every average Joe writer would be calling them and getting published.
Actually, there is a process involved in writing for magazines. You may want to get a copy of the 2009 Writer's Market. They give you all sorts of good tips for submitting queries to magazines. Calling them would not be one of them
Y.L. Prinzel those sound like good ideas. I'm going to check those sites out. Do they require you write about a certain topic or something? Do they pay better than AC?
You must be kidding me. Anything pays better than AC. Magazines pay well, thought it was common sense.
Yes, they sure do. Textbroker is about 1.5-5 cents per word, depending on your rating. Bright Hub is $10 per article with some page view bonuses, Demand Studios is $15 per article. You will have to choose an article topic, much like AC's system (calls for content). You'll need a resume, writing sample, and you'll need to be approved. Magazines are a whole 'nother thing, and I would wait until you're really polished before approaching them. It is big money, but just getting your query letter together can take hours (well, an hour, but I'm extra slow ) and there's no guarantee your idea will be accepted. Good luck!
Sounds GREAT! I'm going to give them ALL a try. Yea too many ppl are focusing on AC if you ask me and I'm SO over it
