I am presently using goarticles.com to submit articles and have found that a site is taking my articles, putting them on their site and getting 1st position, 1st page serp for that article. I realize that I am being out seo'd by that site but my question is this: my url as shown on google is as follows: www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=1641187 - Cached - Similar the website that is taking the article has the following/similar url: theotherguys.com/sexy-panties-for-curvy-women.html Goarticles does not place an seo friendly url thus how can I out seo that other site as I have no ability to alter the url as goarticles sets it. Thus I can't outrank the other guys with my own article. Am I missing something or is this inherant with goarticles and others like it. If so, why would anyone use them when ezine and others use the url in an seo friendly manner? Would you remove the article and place it in an seo friendly directory? Or am I full of it and off track?
Can anyone give me some guidance on whether go articles or article directories like them are worth the effort. I don't want to keep writing and submitting on go if I can lose my first place on google with a webmaster who knows to simply add a url that is seo friendly and I lose the position.
Short answer is Yes, it's worth it. IF the other site is outranking your article, there is a couple steps you can take to ensure you get the proper position of number one, and perhaps 1-5 of the results. I would submit the article to numerous article directories and then bookmark those submissions on Digg using the exact phrase you want to rank for (most likely the title). If you bookmark the articles that are in number 2-5 spots, and the ezine naturally ranks at number one (because of the proper SEO url structure, and authority) you will ensure that only your articles, with YOUR links back are in the top results. Get some links to those articles with the anchor text of the title (like I said the easiest is do a couple bookmarks).
