Looks like you are getting some good success, however the results are usually mixed.

Most of the article submission sites don't accept live link. How do you solve this problem?

However I will try it in future.

Live link is supposed to go in the resource box, and that's where I usually put it.

I am able to always get a link back (3 links on most sites) form the articles I have submitted. All the top sites allow at least one. Rad the fine print or an input box that says HTML allowed on it and you should be able to input it in there. ;)

A lot of article directories have it in their TOS that you cannot show half of an article, with a link to the remaining part of the article.

If you post your article on your site and get it spidered by Google before distribution, then your site will be shown as the Authority Website by Google. In other words, when someone does a search that would be represented best by your article, whomever's website is the first one to be spidered by Google will be shown in the top spot. So ideally, you would write your article first, put it on your own site, wait until Google has archived it, then use distribution services to extend its reach for the purposes of inbound links.

My experience has been that Authority Websites do not get tagged with any kind of duplicate content penalties within Google, Yahoo or MSN. They are the authority sites, why should they be tagged negatively for duplicate content? They shouldn't.

Once you alter your article, you are giving your authority status to someone else.

Ideally, all of your articles should give value to the reader first and foremost. The reason is that most article directories, article websites, general websites, and ezine publishers have the 100% choice as to whether they want to use your articles or not. If you are just trying to get the links, and you do not provide anything valuable to the reader, your reprint response will be low. If you are adding value to the publisher's website, you will find that far more people will be willing to use your article, with your links, on their website.

Andyem is right. You also want to have some good content on your site in addition to your sales pitch. It is a matter of building trust with your reader. How often do you trust people who are "takers" rather than "givers?" Why would anyone else do any different? Getting people to your website is only half of the value. Then you need to gain the trust of your visitor, so you can convert that visitor to a sale, or click on your Adsense listings ;) .

Yes, there are other ways to build links than to use articles, but it is an efficient method for those who use this platform wisely. I utilize many platforms for link building, but articles deliver the most productive and consistent method for SEO linking.

If you are looking for live links with imbedded keywords, the answer to how to do that is to be selective as to where you submit your articles. ;) Many sites prohibit the practice, but many others permit us to add live imbedded keyword links to our resource boxes (about the author info) at the end of the article.

There are many article distribution services available.

The top five article distribution services listed in no particular order are:

    • SubmitYourArticle.com
    • EzineTrendz.com (business articles only)
    • Isnare.com
    • ArticleMarketer.com
    • thePhantomWriters.com

Isnare and ArticleMarketer are fully-automated systems, thus the lower price. I also believe that SubmitYourArticle.com is fully automated as well, although I am not certain of that. Even in their fully automated systems, they require their editors to manually verify every submission through their services, to make sure that they are in fact articles, and not sales pitches or press releases.

EzineTrendz and thePhantomWriters utilize humans to participate in the distribution of the articles. These sites do not rely on computers to decide on how to best target an article to the appropriate audience. Instead, they rely on humans to make those judgement calls. Their editors can also make suggestions regarding how to get the best results from your article distributions.

Each distribution service generally has their own distribution network. There is very little cross-over between distribution outlets. About half of my own clients use 2-3 distribution services in conjunction. They feel strongly that the added reach and exposure for their articles is worth the extra money for each service. Each distribution service has their own strengths and their own audiences, who appreciate the content that they send out.

At the end of the day, any distribution service is just a conduit for "your" articles. Every webmaster on the backside of the transaction has a choice as to whether they use your article or not.

If you do not add value to the lives of the webmaster's site visitors, then your article will receive light linking results. If you do add value to the lives of the webmaster's site visitors, then your article can produce astonishing reprint results. I have actually seen an article that generated 5500 backlinks from its use. (This particular article was distributed through SubmitYourArticle.com, EzineTrendz.com and thePhantomWriters.com) Although these kinds of results are rare, they are possible.

You don't have to use an article distribution service to send your articles out into the world. But if you value your time, then the use of article distribution services can certainly pay for themselves.

Distribution prices on these services vary from $1.25 to $50 per article distribution. Even if you used all of them in conjunction, your distribution costs for all five services is still under $100.

As with any service on the web, it is a matter of your time or your money. How much is your time worth? If you can do your core activities and make $20 an hour online, wouldn't it make sense to farm out an activity to the top five service providers in the industry for $100, if you think it would take you more than 5 hours to do it yourself? Time Vs. Money, which is worth more to you? Whichever you choose to save, you will have to spend the other. You can save time by spending money, or you can save money by spending time. It is your choice.

Everytime I need to send a press release, I spend anywhere from $80-$300 for that service. The press release companies are the specialists in their industry, so I pay them to improve my results. Could I do it myself? Probably. But, could I get the results they get, in few enough hours to justify paying myself instead of paying them? I doubt it. To me, $300 to have a press release distributed for me, is a great trade of my money to save on my time.

For you, you need to make your own decision at to what a good trade of your time or your money might be.

I wish you the best of success in all that you do.

Gatewayink you do have to wait a little bit longer but also you probably need more links to your site for your site to show up. The least you can do is put a link to your site in this forum on ur signature.

Yeah you have to wait. By the way, my articles just got approved on Ezinearticles and now I'm an expert. However, apparently expert doesn't mean that much. I've become excited for nothing.

This is your best bet. Hint: Alter the title too. It will take a little longer to tweak each article prior to submission, but it's well worth it in the long run.

Publish the articles on your site until they are crawled, then submit the revised additions to article submission sites.

Better yet, and this is what I tend to do, post your article on your site, once it's crawled repost THAT SAME ARTICLE on article submission sites while updating the crawled link on your site with the editted article you've done. This way you get crawled and the article on your site will be viewed as "fresh" once the edits are done. You can keep the same title on your site if you'd like, just alter it a little for submissions.

Save files on your computer as such: Article on My Site vs. Articles Posted to Submission Sites (use whatever naming convention works for you of course). You get the idea. It helps keep track of edited projects and articles still in need of attention.

But, your OP is correct, this is a good idea.

Okay, now I KNOW it's working! I rose up on Google in every single term, including to #2 for the term I was immediately targeting, and #9 to the term I was long term targeting.

Wonderful, Kaabi. I have heard that article submission is one of the strongest site promotion techniques out there. I'm glad to hear it is successful for you. That is a nice way to build up PR if you use relevant sites and follow some of the pointers you outlined.
