Hi, Working in the sub-prime industry is incredibely competitive online, so part of my internet marketing mix is getting unique copy wrote about what we specialise in, and submitting articles. i'll be honest, this is purely for SEO purposes, our demographic will never read these articles unfortunately. What I am trying to get my head around is: 1) The resource box at the end of the article is my opportunity for a backink to the index/nested page of my site. As my industry is "boring" , is the most I can expect to get is a Google recognised backlink from the article directory, and is that good for a start? I guess the ultimate aim is to have the article hosted on other peoples site + the resource box with the backlink..... 2) but once one person hosts my article, and then another person does, doesn't the duplicate content pen kick in for them, becuase the very reason they want my article is for unique content for SEO???? Yours Confused, MJP
Try to get the content indexed in google, for your site first before submitting them. Besides, as webmasters spread your article , you will get more and more backlinks. Don't worry about duplicate content for now.
if you are submitting one article to one article directory, G will consider the link in your resoursebox. but if you are submitted same article to 5000000 article directories, i think G will not index most of them because of duplicate content.
