yfs1: What's the porcentage of articles you delete/not-approve on your site? this guys stuff Its sounds too price for anyone to buy too.
About 10% but they are almost all intentional Spam. Sometimes the Article box just has "Visit my Site" We rarely reject anyone that made an effort. We typically correct titles - making 10 tips to get your site going to 10 Tips to Get Your Site Going or put articles in the right category. We also fix anchor text (to a point) One mistake doesn't make a rejection nor does the content. Myself or another reviewer may not like a particular writing style but it is up to the publishers to decide whether they will use it or not. We try to be as open as possible but don't allow ourselves to be Spammed. One of these days I will create a Top 10 of the worst articles submitted....You jaw will drop when you see these.
yes, 4 audio cd, 1 video cd and a 105 page user manual (in a binder) hardcopy ya it came via a courier.
it was my most expensive single purchase to date.. and a few seo guys i trust have nothing but good to say about this.. so i took a risk.. will have to see how it pays off... and if not then , i change my page and add all the links to manually submit articles to. and the FREE roboform only stores 10 website info. but does auto fill the general info.
back on topic: I think quality article directories are the future of link building. You can only have decent articles that don't link to bad places. ysf1 is going probably in the right direction. I'm also working on an article directory but instead of general its for a big niche ( eta mid september), I'm working of having unique features. Maybe a good topic would be what would be the perfect article submission site.
thats the main reason i purchased this software to help me with my article submission(s), as i stoped my link exchanges, as this was taking up WAY to much time. and ill have to check out your article submission site..
finally the answer to 2 sneaky (yet 100% above-board) his rules must include the resource box and dont not change the article. as this could affect the credibility of the author, and get you/your site in trouble NOW... for the answer 1. and your own custom intro 2. in between and a comment the article with keywords (like in the middle of the article) as an ad. so nothing shaddy here.
Kalius - Feel free to contact me about your niche site. I am always looking for new partnerships and some cross promotion could help both of us. Cheers
are you planning something simillar tommo? yfs1 ill contact you as soon as I have something up, Im still coding the script for it.
yep...It's definatly the way forward, I realised this last month when i submitted some articles that I'd written about 4 years ago and saw they gave me 3 PR6 backinks Of course difference between us is that you are coding it from fresh and I just modded a script...(ok I hacked around some templates!) I really need to find a pet coder! Just need to get content now.
lol Sorry I'm just a baby coder! Are you going general or niche? Do you have it online? url? What script you modded if you don't mind telling ( you can just pm ). I have to kinda code it from scratch, I'm planning on a lot of new features for writers and publishers alike. I feel there's also a need for a nice resource for article writers, like writting help, etc, etc.
Tommo - If you are planning a niche site (which is what I suggest), we can help each other (and discuss through PM), but if you are looking to build a general article site, I will probably keep my comments to the public forum so they benefit all. As far as what it takes to have some level of success, it isn't much different than a regular site. You need two things: 1.) A large base to market from - I have two other partners in this project and we have around 20,000 posts in a wide variety of SEO forums. This means a LOT of exposure which builds on itself. I also have 2 other article sites as partners (one being a pretty big name) and a variety of other partnerships. 2.) Innovation - I have been adding features since the beggining to differentiate myself and its not enough to provide a few. I get people constantly copying me so you need to innovate constantly. My newest major project - I am forming a partnership with a software developer that is creating an authorized program that will make using our content easier than ever. The difference in this case and what seperates it from all these scraper scripts is that it will have tons of features, require a serial key (to stop theft) and be authorized and supported by us. Unfortunately these things cost money to put into motion so if you really want to kick a**, don't plan on making a profit for some time. I would love to continue building a network of niche sites so anyone that specializes in one area, PM me and we can talk. Unfortunately if you are a copycat site with nothing to offer, I won't be able to help you a great deal. Cheers
Excellent tips thanks, it's a good Idea about Niche sites I'll have a think about what to specialise in.
