Article submission for a new site

Well, I know that submitting to quality article directories is not bad but I have a few questions here as I haven't tried it yet. I searched DP but did not find the exact answers.

How much do I need to change the article (I mean the original and the submitted copy). Do I need to write a completely new article or just make a few slight changes (replace/delete sentences and phrases, etc)?

My sites are very new, so the article I submit will probably indexed by Google faster that on my own site. So will Google think that's me who copied the articles (I know they will link to my site but still)? Do I need to wait till my site get a bit older and make the article submission later?

Please, share your article submission tips.

    Thanks in advance,

    Annie

It is always better to have unique articles to various directories. Unfortunately, nobody can answer you how much differences is considered a different article to the search engines..

I myself have submitted the same articles to all over the directories and has received good results in SERP. Therefore, I would think that submitting the same article to directories still works :)

I agree. And, even if at first you don't come up for your article, you should still post it on your site, because the more you write the more authority your domain will get and the more likely it is that you'll come up in the serps for the articles you write.

In other words, I would go ahead with the article submissions.

If your content was nice and interesting you can't stop other people to link to your site or post the article on their site.

It will be better if you submit unique article every time, but it is quite difficult. So it will be better if you write 2 or 3 articles and put one article at your site and never use that article for article submission. And then use other 2 remaining article for article submission.

Well, you cannot stop people to link to your site, I agree with that and why would you do that anyway. But they cannot just post your articles on their sites. You have copyrights on your work even if you don't state that on your website.

If you want to be safe write a couple of unique articles and submit those to directories. That way you'll get up in serps and you won't worry about double content.

My strategy is use one unique article for my site and a modified article for all other sites.

My observation is even if an article gets indexed first from your site, if you have the same article on a high PR site like ezinearticles, the other site would end up getting the traffic. I always prefer to keep my site's content unique.

you are afraid to split the traffic for your article with ezine??

what kind of traffic do you get per day from an article posted on ezine.. 2-3 diff persons?

what about getting your keywords up in SEs.. then you won't be needed to worry about sharing traffic with ezine or wiki.. and everything else?

isn't that the point?.. why we are submitting articles?
