Article Submission Experiment and Learning Guide

So many people have been asking the forums and myself about article submissions and how to do them, that I have decided to do a 4 week demo where everyone can watch me build links through article submissions. I am using a little undeveloped site of mine, and will be writing my own articles, although I may have to buy a few if I fall behind on time - one of my main sites is in season in the fall...I will show you how in only one hour a night, for just over $100, you can build hundreds of incoming links to a website or webpage. Also, how you could be making $1000/mo while promoting your own website. It is easy, and articles are still effective, although not as effective as they once were, if they are good articles, they will still help you get traffic right away and get solid related links over time. You can read more and follow the experiment here:

    Article Experiment

I will follow up here and update here if there is interest, otherwise just on my Blog and maybe I'll open it for comments. This is a good lesson for noobies and a great way to get your new site started.

Google with every update is discounting article submissions as spam links i believe. But article submissions are still great for MSN/ Yahoo.

I'm glad you are doing this - maybe this will stop all the opinions about article marketing.

There are different sites that backlinks do not count in...I am working on making a better list of these. It is more difficult than it sounds...I am putting my first hour in right now everyone :) I guess I want to see what happens too...

Just finished posting 2 articles to 40 sites each. I have a bit of extra time in to sign up for some of the article sites that I was not registered for. 2 hours in.

Which article sites did you submit to? Just the quality ones or four random?

    itcobretti;

Awesome post. I will be watching with interest. It will be interesting to see how much linkage you can construct with 20 hours of effort. i have used many methods to build links over the last 2 years..but have avoided articles. i am curious to see how this plays out...

I am assuming that you are going to document the article sites on your blog that you are utilizing??

    Best

I just did two more, will put in an extra hour tonight to catch up ;) I am not necessarily putting the articles on my blog first, my blog is new so it doesn't get spidered enough for that theory yet, maybe in a few more days it will be ready.

do you use the same text of an article on different websites or alter it somehow? I used article promotion too last years, wrote 8 articles, posted them on about 20 websites and now there are about 300-350 articles with link to my website, i.e their number were doubled by reprinting by webmasters.
However Google pretends he doesn't see these articles :) Count links from several articles websites and that's all.
And yes, Yahoo and MSN are crazy about these links and love them much!

Google dose not show all the links. One of my websites is in more then 200 directories but Google shows only six links.
But I agree publishing articles is good way to build links.

I post the same article to several sites ( 20 or so ) and rewrite it and post again to a different 20 or so sites...I will try to get them on related blogs as well. I published 2 more articles tonight and submitted them each to 20. Up to 5 hours total.

It seems that everyone agrees that article marketing does work but mostly for MSN and Yahoo. Google discounts replicated content though. James D. Brausch has a piece of article submission software that I use because it varies the content.

The reason I bought Artemis Pro is because you write three versions of the same article (some minor variations) and the software will swap the paragraphs for you. So if you have three articles each with 7 paragraphs....I dont know but thats a lot of variety. So my thinking is that this would be in favour with google?

Any body else using it too?

Not yet, only a few up and live so far. I have had 8 visitors from the articles. I posted two more yesterday, and will get two more up tonight. You can rotate articles in Article Post Robot also. It will take the full four weeks to see anything worthwhile, no one updates that fast anymore. Also, this is a competitive phrase, the articles will also need a link going to them, but I can't do that until I see which ones get into MSN the best. ;)

Great thread! I'll be watching to see what happens.

BTW, are you using one piece of software to submit the articles to multiple sites?
