Hey all... I launched a new site a few days ago. The site has about 10-15 pages of content to start with. To build some links i submitted an article to a few article directories. This article contains the content of one of my pages - my page has 600 words content - i submitted a shorter version of 450 works and linked to the page from the article when i submitted it. I know that it will take google and other SE's a while to catch my sites content because it is new. The article I submitted will be indexed quickly when it'll go live because the article directories has a high crawl rate by spiders. So my question is this: If google finds my content first at the article directories site (with a link to the full article on my site), do i "lose" this content and risk my site for allegedly duplicating content? Any other tips for building links for a new site.. Hope someone can help me...
no man as most of article directories are open sites you can take articles from them and put it in your site so don't worry
I would not distribute the articles on my site to article directory's, try to have unique content on your site and put different articles in the directory's.
Thanks... I will create alternate content for article directories... What about other ways to build link for a new site? What's recommended and what to avoid at the beginning for best results? Social Bookmarking? Directory Submissions? ....? I think tips on this subject will be a great resource for newbs and experienced marketers that usually work on established sites... Thanks
Keep the following ideas...... Grammar mistake Copy content not relevant as per topic very less content more links in article not as per terms and condition or some one else has already submitted it or person with your user name may be band in article directory may be any one of factor Reply With Quote
No problem, I saw many duplicate submission. Better take the article and rewrite by yourself then post
That wasnt the best idea. Now you have three choice : 1. Re-write the article on your website to make it different from the one you submitted all over the place 2. Include that Page to your Robot.txt so you wont get any SERP traffic to it but atleast it wont hurt ur site (Not the best idea). 3. Wait and see; if your competing for a relatively non-competitive key term that it might not hurt you all that much, see where Google Indexes it. That being said if this is for a long term strategy then definitely rewrite those 400 some words on your site.
