Does anyone have a list of article directories that really allow links in the body of the article? Niche sites, general sites, any site? I only know of 2: www.Buzzle.com www.WebProNews.com Can we try to build a list here? But only suggest article directories or sites that you know for sure will allow multiple text links in the body of the article - not the bio box.
Ezine Articles wouldn't let me add any links in the body of the article They only let me add it in the resource box. Maybe I just have bad luck with them.
My article directory accepts links anywhere in the body of the article. Just dont put it in the article title or type in ALL CAPS and the article should be approved.
Ezine articles lets you put 1 contextual link IN THE ARTICLE! I know because I have personally submitted dozens of articles to E-zine. You need to put the link in the last (or second last) paragraph or they won't accept it though.. and they still allow 2 links in the author box. Another great site is uniquearticles.com You can put 2 links IN THE BODY OF THE ARTICLE and 2 links in the author box for a total of 4 links! It's one of the best that I've come across. Hope this helps (if it does feel free to hook me some green rep!)
Direct from EzineArticles WEBSITE LINKS/URLS There is a total limit of (6) active or inactive links allowed in the article, which consists of both the BODY and the RESOURCE BOX. 1. Maximum of (3) "Self-Serving" active or inactive links/URLs to a website that you own, control, or have an interest in. 2. Maximum of (3) active non-self serving links to a website that you do not own, control, or have an interest in which adds value to the article. 3. Confine your self-serving links to your RESOURCE BOX. 4. We do not accept articles with active or inactive links in the first 1-3 paragraphs. Please put your active links in the resource box below the article body. The article BODY is your "GIVE" and the RESOURCE BOX is your "TAKE." 5. We do not accept links that use HTML to add style attributes to the link, URL, or text link description. 6. We do not accept links formatted with Smart Quotes by using MS WORD. 7. We will auto format valid URLs included in your RESOURCE BOX. Example of an invalid URL: Your-Company-Name.com www.your-company-name.com Example of a valid URL: http://Your-Company-Name.com/ 8. We will NOT auto-format URLs that are included in the BODY of your article. 9. Your links MAY NOT contain a file to be downloaded of any type. 10. We do not knowingly allow any URLs in any of our articles that are banned by Google or if your website engages in questionable SEO practices -- we may reject your articles. 11. We do not accept articles that have the same ACTIVE link more than once. Do not submit duplicate URLs. 12. We do not allow articles which have strategic keyword anchor text links in the body to your domain that do not add informational value to the article. Any use of anchored text links to websites that you own should add value to the article topic rather than stand out as an obvious abuse an anchored text link. The goal with this policy is to be a good net citizen by only allowing articles that add value with the anchored text links rather than for pure SEO reasons. Example: Within your article, you link the word "bird dog" to an article that you wrote about bird dogging. This is a good example of an anchored text link vs. linking the same text to your home page as it doesn't really add value. 13. If you put all 3 of the active self serving links that we allow in the body of your article, we will reject it. 14. We will not accept articles with links (in the Article Body or Resource Box) to adult-oriented websites, including but not limited to websites that include pornography, adult-oriented sexual content. 15. We do not allow links to websites that are under construction. Websites must be active and have content in order for you to link to them from your article. We will reject your article if it contains a link of this nature.
Is this your own article directory. One link allowed is just too little. A big site like Ezinearticles allow three!
instead of using article directory, I make some blogspot blogs, try to jack up their PR in the next few months, make it dofollow, and I have my own free article directories with my own rules. Take some time and works, but it is a good investment though....
That's a good thinking…but it will be worth it only if you have time and ability to create a lot of articles and do the SEO for each Blog(article directory) which will take some time….i hope I'm not missing the point here… Also- if you someone wants to post articles for it's link (not so much for promoting/marketing additional issue..)then I believe that its easier to write a few articles and submit each one of them to a few different article directories. Good luck ïŠ
I like to use squidoo.com they call them "lenses" and allow you to make as many custom anchor tags as you like. The other nice thing is they give you a direct url with your chosen name so you can stuff your main keywords into the url. They have some nice features, and google seems to like them.
I don't believe there are many Article Directories that allow live URL's in article body. Many article directories have automated scripts to scan for live url(s) in the article body and if they contain these are marked for non-publication. The majority of article directories will allow upto 3 url's in the author resource box. Good luck, Steve
