Article Sites for backlinks...?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by atforums.digitalpoint, Nov 12, 2010.

I am posting articles to sites like squido, hubpages, etc., with a link to my site in my profile and in the article where possible.

My question is, does posting one article on one of these sites get me a backlink with google? Or is there gradations, getting more backlink "juice" with the more articles you post on that one site?

    Any advice?

    Good question!

From my understanding, you can have mutiple links on Ezinearticles for example. You might have one with "Sports" one with "Sports cars" one with "Sport Events". You would get link juice for each of the differn't anchor texts on the article directories.

Article directories are great because most of them are 100% Free. It just takes time or allocating an outsource team.

Remember when you post quality articles and provide a link at the bottom of the post the link serves as link bait. Others will possibly reference your article with your link.

    I hope that makes sense.

Ok thank you for your help! That is good to hear. The only thing I don't understand though is what you mean by 'different anchor text'. What would that be? When I post an article on one of the article directories, I post my link at the bottom of the article, or my link is in my profile, which appears at the bottom of the article. I don't think I use 'anchor text' as far as I know...

The link you post at the bottom:

For example -the links -> "Sports" or "Sports cars" <----- That is the "Anchor Text"

Your URL is behind an anchor text that should be your main keyword or other important one that you want be ranked in

I would only post to quality article sites. Out of the thousands of article directories, I only post to about 12. In the past I did some of those mass postings and usually the article sites posted to are really low quality.

I agree with LucianoFigallo anchor test should be your pet keyword and some article site not offering link posting there you should your site or page as text link they are also matter in back linking.

Also some sites use "nofollow" links, so its always worth checking before posting

I believe he wanted to ask if one article per article submission site was enough to get a backlink through google or if he would have to write multiple articles on the same article submission website.

I would love to know this as well :)
