    that depents on what you expect from an article site. if you want to have a big and big article site (like me:D) , i strongly suggest you to use joomla. it's a complex cms and it also has so many extension:)

    My advise : Go with Joomla...you have many extensions where to choose from....also is a stable CMS.Good Luck !

    i've heard that joomla puts a strain on servers.
    especially on really big sites.

    thats why i havent really tried it yet

    I'd recommend drupal. Install the write modules and it's a perfect article site with great SEO (SEF URLs using clean urls, path and pathauto, taxonomy, etc) and some great modules. It's also pretty quick. It's more of a CMS framework so you can really make it what you wish, including an article site. Plus it's quick (I had serious speed issues with another article script) and can handle a large amount of articles easily. It's also not encoded (unlike articledashboard) so it's easy to customise templates.

    I'm sure you can use adsense - you would just have to put the snippit where you wanted it to appear.

    It's released as open source under the GNU licence so I think you can do what youwant.

    Why not download it and take a look for yourself? (Let us know what you think of it, if you do)

    the demo ont he site wasnt working.
    but from what i was able to see.
