Hey guys, what are some of the article directories that allow you to put your affiliate link in your article or signature?
Honestly, my advice would be that it is better to send visitors to your own site from any links in articles... there are numerous reasons why it is beneficial in the long-term to send visitors to your site first: 1. What happens to the traffic from those articles if that offer is no longer available? - if you are sending them direct to the merchant site, it is wasted - if you send them to your site, you might have alternative products available or you could get them to sign up to a newsletter and sell to them at a later time 2. List build opportunities - if you send them to your site, even if there isn't a newsletter subscription on the landing page, they may explore your site and sign up to your newsletter. This increases your chances of making a future sale. 3. Refining future marketing efforts... - if you send them to your site you should see how they are arriving at your site (from google analytics etc). This will help you figure out what is working and what isn't working... and will help you make better marketing campaigns in the future - if you send them direct to the vendor, chances are you aren't tracking them efficiently and are likely not learning much from your marketing campaigns. The question shouldn't be which article directories allow you to include affiliate links... it should be which article directories regularly send traffic to your site from articles. Good luck.
I agree with Ganceann. I definitely believe in sending traffic to your own pre-sell page and not redirected to the vendor.
Tazer Dude For example, Ezine doesn't allow that. Only top level domains, such as www.example.com I don't know about other directories, though. But again, I agree with Zibblu and Ganceann that it's better to direct your readers to landing page, rather than direct linking. Of course, domains are not expensive, but there is no need to purchase them. You create a simple landing page on various sites, including Blogger, Wordpress, Squidoo or Hubpages.
