Article posting vs content creation

    2 questions for your consideration....

1, If I could create 1 good relevent article a day, would it be better to put it on my website (content) or should I put it on EZ articles (backlinks)? (I know the ideal answer is to create 2 articles and do both of these, but I wondered which was the most effective in raising serps ranking.)

2, If I do put articles on my site, how do I get people to find them?

thanks as always good people of DP! :)

you better create the article for your website, and for EZ too. if you don't have good content, the visitor won't come back.first of all,you should think at quality of your website, and if you have quality visitors will come back, that's the secret.
there are many ways to get visitors to your website .create backlinks, improve your SERP,and you will get visitors from search engines .get some PR,exchange links .lot of work :)

I find that in the begining of a single sites development using articles for content is more important.

As that site ages it is important not only to get links to your index page, but to have supporting links to interior site pages with their own longer tail keyword anchor text, which hopefully adds value to the main page and your site overall.

But weighing what gets posted elsewhere is a judgement call, if you think it is going to get some traffic or is possible link bait, use it for the site. And bookmark it.

#1. Write separate, unique articles for your own site and for article submission. That's so much better. Google gives weight to unique contents.
#2. It boils down to the quality of your article as well as keyword selection and density. These are important factors to be considered in article writing.

From a long view, content of your own website is more important. You should guarantee its quality so that more
and more people can visit your website. As to the latter problem, you'd better keep on optimizing and updating
your website to improve its rank. What's more, links are also important to you.You can also try other ways to
promote your website such as social boolmarking and joing in some related forums and etc...

I'd have to agree with what others were saying. At first have your own content but also do the odd article marketing. Cool trick is to write about a topic that people want the answers for ... so they go to the article that you've written at an EZ but you only give them half the answer... or the start of the answer.

The general idea being that you get them to VISIT YOUR SITE because you haven't given them exactly what they are looking for yet. Takes a bit of work but think about it.

Ezinearticle and any other article sites have their own traffics and do rank well in search engine. You benefit from these sites are back links. Once you have enough quality back links, that is the time your site will rank well on SERP. You can now stop publishing articles on ezine since you have good ranking. You only need is the daily maintenance in terms of content or updates. The more updates the better.

Given the scenario and the options presented I would submit the articles to article directories first. Once in place on other websites they can bring you traffic while you're creating more unique content for your own website.

"Cool trick is to write about a topic that people want the answers for ... so they go to the article that you've written at an EZ but you only give them half the answer... or the start of the answer." I love that, I never thought of that - DOH!! Thanks again!

IMO you should be doing both, like others have mentioned. Keep your highest quality articles on your site and throw a few on EZ, rinse and repeat!
