    As the old saying goes:

If its too good to be true it...

These site have sooooooooooooooooooooooo many outound links that the amount of PR passed to you is smaller than a plank unit.

And you will never get any traffic from these direcotries either. Plus google may peanalize you for linking to link farms.

There are no shortcuts in SEO. Dont waste your money or time on this crap.

Most of these sites will never deliver a visitor. I've used most of them and have never seen a reference from them. Ezinearticles - a few. Most of the others, not a single one.

Having the same article on numerous sites (or article spam, which ever your preference) also seems to have little effect in terms of PR and or SERPs.

I believe the whole idea behind the articles is for webmasters to use them as content for their own websites. If you post an article that is full of good content, and 100 webmasters use this article to attract visitors to your website, then you have just created 100 backlinks to your own website. Of course, for this to work the content must be good and must have a good keyword phrase referenced several times in the article.

For example, I just did a search for links to one of my sites. I see a webmaster posted one of my articles at http://www.sitecritic.net/articleDetail.php?id=70. I do not know if this example helps my ratings, but I am sure that it does not hurt them.

I get the concept of it, but no webmaster who gets real traffic is going to put an article that is already out there 187 times on their site.

A good webmaster, wanting good traffic and wanting to be a good resource to get repeat traffic, will find a unique article by having someone write one for him or do it himself or maybe getting a unique piece submitted.

I do all three. I would never post up something that I knew was out there on 187 different websites.

Article submission software (I have two myself, never use them) would be akin to ffa submission software, ezine submission software, etc.
People who buy this software (or most people, since I do not use mine) would tend to use it a lot.
Now, if 100 people use this software to post one article per week, how loaded down are those sites going to get?
And how is a webmaster going to find a good article in all of those flying in daily?
I tried for a while to get articles off sites to use myself.
Just a simple search would bring up lots and lots of articles on one subject.
No, I think (my thoughts again) is that at some point, this will be useless software except for noooobies and such who will find it to be the holy grail of marketing they were looking for!

Lot easier (I know people who do this) is to write your own material, then submit it by hand to ezines and newsletters. Or put it up on your website, and have others go there to copy and paste or just link to it.

Just me and I could be totally whacko.

Google have now become extremely clever with duplicated articles. It really does stand to reason that if the same article is found on 100 sites then how does it deal with that?

Google have been buying up companies that have specialised in the development of sophisticated algorithms. Gone are the days of sucking up free articles from article sites. Now, Google simply dismiss this type of offering. This is the very reason that free article sites are on offer for sale almost everywhere. In my opinion, paying the extra and having bespoke articles written for you is far more productive for your SEO quest.

Of course I would say that wouldn't I as my company offers such a service!
But then again you could write them yourself and save the money.

Why once it cost to get an article site script, now you can get free!
Seems late last year, more and more marketers were throwing in the scripts for free as a bonus for buying something else.
Then sites like 12 days of christmas, etc...you could then download the scripts for free!

Imagine, some of those sites said they got upwards to 100,000 people to visit and download.
If only 10% of those 100,000 downloaded the free script and then set up their own article site, that is a new 10,000 article sites now live on the net.

Now most article submission software, you can add new sites to submit to.
So now the number goes from 187 presently to where someone could add another 10,000!

    Hi,

It looks like you did NOT check out the difference between Article Post Robot and ALL other article submission software.

Article Post Robot does ALL the article post work AUTOMATICALLY! Users only need click ONE button ONCE after setup. Actually, some article submission services provided on this forum ARE USING this software to provide service. The charge is about $30-$50/article/submission. It is interesting to see people would rather pay that $ for one article than pay a little more to have the software.

ALL OTHER article submission software, users have to work hard to post articles by clicking the 'submit' botton on each site. for 188 sites, if you can do this in 30 seconds (wait for page to load and find the submit button), it takes 94 minutes to post ONE article. Using Article Post Robot, click ONE button ONLY ONCE, you are done. Software will do other work for you.

If you want to try, send an email to help(at)articlepostrobot.com

    good luck

Keep this in your mind, Article Submission is just a part of the work. Article quality is the key. Try to have a good Pro writer write an article for you, then submit it. You will see the difference.

articles are very useful if they are good. a qood quality article, with a NICE CATCHY TITLE, can get a lot of readings and a lot of clicks to the site that the article recommends.

i recently submitted some articles, in the same day, and the ones with smart catchy names get much more views...

One thing i cannot understand, if i take time writing an article, why on earth should i post it to an article site and not my blog?

Might as well put it directly on my blog. The only thing i would consider is submitting an article i already have on my blog. But some say i might be penalised.

You will get exposure and backlinks from these article sites, and hopefully, from those webmasters that go to these article sites to look for articles to use on their sites. I wouldn't use an article that I have on my site already, but instead create a promotional piece to spread on the net. I'd just treat article submissions as a part of your marketing effort.

What is the purpose of posting articles? Drive Traffic to your site! More exposure means more traffic. That's why people pay huge $ for advertisement on different media.

As for penality because of duplicated content, it is a very interesting thing. Is there any solid proof that duplicated content will be penalized? I asked this questions on many forums. All the answers are like this: I have a site, indexed by google, ..... suddenly, google does not index it any more. Is this a solid reason? I do not think so. So many possible reasons that google may remove the index, unnecessary to be duplciated content.

Someone may say: google said they will remove duplicated content. Then, the question is: how duplicated is duplication? by sentence? by paragraph? by pages? by sites? google never answered this question.

The further question is: if you post your own original article on your own site, some1 copied it. How google decide which one is the original? Some1 said google will think the first one shown in google index is the original. If it was true, it is ridiculous.

I do not mean we should post duplicated content. I just doubt it will get penality from search engine. Too many doubts. Maybe I'm wrong.

Whilst I see your point I think there is a massively distinguishable difference in posting your own unique article and taking one from a free article site.

My point is that the free article has a much higher rate of copy and will be seen all over the show. A unique bespoke article that is placed on ones site has a definite increased chance with the SE's. What I mean is that placing a unique article on a free article site is absolutely non productive. This is the very reason why we have many large clients that use our service and take a regular order of 500+ articles per month.

They know that this is the only way to achieve acceptable results. One of our casino clients spends $5500 per month with us and we only write 250 word keyword -rich articles for them. He has been with us for 13 months - So ask yourself why do they do this?

Free articles are fine for content but its a nonsense to think that they will get you up the ratings with say Google. Especially now as Google have changed their tack. Note the specialist companies that Google are snapping up in the 'Valley'. Note the amount of free article sites that are for sale as well as the scripts to run them.

Ok that's my two pen'th worth but then again I would come from this direction wouldn't I!

Frankly, I would think because they do not care the spend, and they do NOT know where they can get it much cheaper.

Maybe you misunderstood the point. Get high ranking in google is NOT the purpose. The purpose is driving people to your site. If you have 1M back link, and others can see your link everywhere, who cares google ranking?

I think that's a little naive of you to think that these large sites don't know their own business, and to say 'they do not care the spend' is quite frankly ridiculous!
