Article on Site vs. Article on EzineArticles

I have dozens of articles pre-written to target my keywords.

I was wondering -- what is wiser? To put the article on my site with anchor text pointing with keyword to my main page? Or to put it on ezine articles with anchor text pointing at my main page?

If I put it on my site, I'd also bookmark it.

I assume many of you will say to put it on my site.

However, will it help my main site rise in the serps? Or will it just allow more people to find the article-page on my site in the SERPS?

I always put articles on my site and I have anchor text within them and I have them point at my main sales page.

So if i had a site on Pig Food, and I had an article on Organic Pig Food, and I wanted my main page to rank for Organic Pig Good, I'd have the article page point to the main page with the anchor Organic Pig Food. Is this an OK method?

I think the best way to go about doing this is to put more effort into writing a content rich article on your site and then link an EZA article to that page.

You could always do article exchanges with other websites. It is an elegant way of link building and in the same time to improve your website with good content articles.

Ezine is the no 1 article submission service, if you submit genuine content into it definitely your business will be in a good position. So, it's better to go with Ezine...Thanks for Sharing....

Sometimes it is helpful to submit a shorter yet similar version of your site articles on Ezine. You can then point readers to your site "I added more tips to my list over at blahblah.com".

In my experience, if you practice rewriting articles, especially about topics you know, you will get quicker and soon it will be kind of effortless. It kind of snowballs from there.

This is absolutely correct. You can get software that will allow you to use the original contents, but 'sort' it so it is not considered duplicate. Ezine and others will accept as original. This way you have the best of both worlds.

But, you must be sure the two articles are not too similar, or Ezine will absolutely NOT accept it.

As an alternative, post the article / contents on your website, and once it is crawled / cached by Google, then publish it in Ezine. Ezine will accept it even though it is already posted on your site as long as you give credit.

I'll second that. Put one version on each - make them about 50% different. Links and content . . . Can't say fairer than that!

We have submitted over 100 articles, mostly for http://www.cards-411.com and http://www.birth-cards.com and each set of 25 we thought we would be advanced to EXPERT, but were not. Ezine simply does not give that designation away!!

We finally decide to go all out and see if we could get 25 articles approved without any modifications. After over 100 tries, we finally did and were give the Expert status.

You might try the same approach.

What do you guys think of my article-on-site with keyword pointing at main page strategy? Is that wise?

post it to the blog and reedit the article in such a way that google does not find its duplicate - then post to ezinearticle and have a backlink there to the post in blog.

Kill two birds with 1 modified stone. (Thats not really the saying, but thats the gist of it)

I would recommend posting it on your website, changing the title a bit and rewriting the article and posting it on ezinearticles too. It's obviously more work, but rewriting isn't too difficult, and, you're going to get more bang for your buck.

Ezine will give you a backlink, plus potential other backlinks, and you may end up ranking high in serps for a particular keyword from the ezine article itself. More bang for the buck by submitting to ezine.

How did you know that they're not accepting anymore?Do you know someone that submissions are not being granted anymore? I wish you can share more about it.

I think not allowing your account to be upgraded is a different problem.

Although ezine may give you low PR backlinks, your article may become viral and start being used by others who in turn give you more backlinks.
