Is it a good idea to submit articles to hundreds of directories? Yeah, you would get a lot of backlinks, but doesn't google see this as spam when a hundred backlinks all pop up at once, with the same anchor text and duplicate content...

Any comments on this? Good? Bad? I've been wondering the best way to go about using my articles to promote my site...

Not all the hundred directories and article submission sites will provide a back link to your articles. Also, not all those article submission sites will get spidered by Google on the same day. Some of them wont have SEF URLs, or might not be high traffic sites, so they'll take longer to get indexed.

A good idea is to submit different variations of the articles, or atleast try and vary the anchor texts of the links that you submit to those article sites. If you are submitting the articles manually, that shouldn't be a problem.

I aggree with Rosiee007 it wouldnt hurt to change the anchor text. and i think it would be better if you submit the articles over time no just submit the article in one hit e.g. instead of submiting to 100 directories in one day. submit to 10 directories per day over 10 days. but as Rosiee said "not all those article submission sites will get spidered by Google on the same day"

    I wouldnt worrie too much
