Can we get a collective thread on article marketing . I have been planning to do it . But worried i do not know enough .

Like keyword density . Is that important ?

If it is how can i check it and what is proper ratio ?

How many times can i submit the same article to diffrent directories ?

Can I take 5 articles post the same 5 to 10 difrent directories and still help my ranking and traffic ?

Please help me out as a collective on this one . I am willing tolisten to whatever you have to say .

For people wanting to write articles some of this info may be useful as well . I know i will be bookmarking this post :)

BTW guys please keep up the good work . You are very helpful . DP rocks .

There are differing opinions as to what is the best keyword density but personally I would always stick to the 4-6% density. If you intend to submit to article directories, just make sure that the same one is not submitted to too many sites because it won't have any meaning or effect and somehow that would look like spamming. Just stick to ezinearticles would do.

As far as keyword density is concerned 2-7% would be more helpful. And its not good idea to submit same articles to n numbers of sites because its of no use, instead you can finalize 6-7 good sites where you could submit yours articles

Just write good quality articles and you won't have to worry about keyword density but make sure you have your targeted keyword in the title and that it makes sense.

Submitting same article to all the directories is not considered as spamming. Lot of professionals do that.

For effective article marketing, your articles should be at least 400-500 words and KW density of 2-4% at most. Services such as Ezinearticles won't accept articles with high KW density. You want to make sure your content is unique before submitting to article directories as Google can penalize you for duplicate content. My advice would be to put up 5-10 articles on your site and then get rewrites to submit to article services.

    Hope that helps!

While I know keyword density is important I tend to write a thoughtful, informative article and put my "special" keywords with links to my site, particularly deep links on a methodical basis to try and increase the pr on some of my targeted section pages. After writing twenty or more articles I have a "feel" for when I am in the range of 500 and try to be brief, helpful and quick as I want to write a minimum of two articles per day. I would love to do more but burnout is an issue. Question I have is on an ecommerce site which can always use content, always. should I continue to put articles on there or is submitting articles with link backs more effective for higher serps rankings. I am more inclined to write one article per subject and not have to worry at all about duplicate content, or did I change the original article enough to pass muster.

I am sticking to submitting one to five articles to ezine, go articles or associated content and not mess with the submit to 100 article directory syndrome. I might change my approach but not for now.
