    Hi everyone,

I just want to ask if there's another strategy in article marketing other than social bookmarking and blogging?

Your advice are really much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Have you seen this strategy?
    http://www.bummarketingmethod.com

I use it on a daily basis with long tail keywords. Basically you create articles based around long tail keywords and then submit them to article directories like
    Ezinearticles.com, SearchWarp.com and Goarticles.com

You put the long tail keywords in the title of the article and throughout the article. In a few weeks you should be ranking very well for those keywords because they have so little competition.

When it comes to generating traffic, I guess you're already familiar with the usage of articles via regular submissions to various directories, Web 2.0 techniques, and as relevant content for your own website to catch the attention of the search engine spiders.

There are other applications for articles that you may or may not be familiar with. Here are a couple of them:

    For Viral Marketing Purposes

Remember the "dancing baby?" It was so cool when it was first released over the internet that people started to email the animated gif to their family members and friends.

In a short period of time, the "dancing baby" was a global phenomenon. Imagine if a company actually sponsored the "dancing baby."

Imagine if the brand "Coke" or "Pepsi" or "Trojan Condoms" was plastered on the background of the animated image. The advertising mileage for that particular company would be huge!

This is the idea behind viral marketing. You distribute something cool for free, and people will want to share it with their family and friends. And with a link to your website attached to that absolutely cool product, you'd be able to generate a great number of visitors at a short period of time.

Some internet marketers use this tactic: they collect related articles into one eBook, with each article presented as a chapter of the same. It'll be great if they own the distribution rights to those articles, but if they don't, they'd just ask permission from the authors and include the appropriate resource boxes. Once the articles are collated into an interesting volume, eCovers and other ornamental components are added. Often, a link to the internet marketer's website is included at the footer of each page.

This eBook is distributed for free, and if the public likes it, the distribution rate will increase exponentially quite fast.

    Articles As Bargaining Chips

This is a strategy I discovered in the Buy And Sell section of DigitalPoint a few months back.

Usually, people buy advertising space from a popular website. Advertising, as we all know, is one of a website's main sources of revenue. But webmasters sometimes need something more important than profit.

Yes, they need new content supplied on a regular basis. Fresh content, after all, ensures not just instant profit, but sustainable profit as well.

You can offer to supply them with content through your articles. For free, of course.

In exchange, they just have to preserve your name as the author, and more importantly, the links you will include in your resource box, or even in the body of the article itself.

The thread starter in the Buy And Sell section was actually proposing to write articles for free in exchange for publication in a website with a PR Rank of 5 or higher.

    He was flooded with offers.
