    Hi,

I have an article that I wrote months ago & submitted to different article directories & newsletters, etc. In just the past week, I've noticed that hundreds of webmasters, particularily on Blogspot.com have put up my article. You can see how many here.

Any suggestions as to why all of the sudden my article is being used so heavily?

More importantly, how can I get these great results to continue...any ideas?

    Thanks!

A spammer with 1000s of different blogs might have picked it up or it could have been picked up by Article Software like Article Bot or Article Equalizer.

P.S.: You've signed up for every automated link exchange program you could find. Don't you think that you might be overdoing it a bit. I'd advise you to stick with the one way linking services if you need those types of links. If you can write a nice article like that you would be better off getting Article Submission Software(150 Article Submission sites) and then just writing an article a day instead. That's much safer. Or better yet pay linkdash $9.99 for one way links or any of the others that will allow you to pay for one way links because one way links go a lot further.

Well I don't want to be a hypocrite. I've been using Gotlinks (before it became useless) and it does help my site a lot on MSN but, I would never use more than one linking service and definetly not eleven different ones. I'm not so much worried about getting my site banned as I am getting my PPC ads account canceled.

If you are willing to pay for power links why not just pay for linkdash and get one way links?
I only use gotlinks because I am broke. If I had some money I would buy the Article Submisison Software or one way links from Link dash and Be linked.

I've only heard of one guy getting banned and he was using Link Diy, Got Links and Index Guy Links all at the same time. That same guy managed to get himself banned from DP as well so maybe he just had a knack for getting himself banned.

Why do you have backpages with a PR of 2 and your homepage is PR zero? Your site might have been penalized already.

Wow! Thanks for noticing that!!!! I had failed to notice that! Hmm...looks like it might be a penalty issue. Anyone else care to throw in their two cents. Perhaps my automated link exchanges are not helping me quite like I thought they were. :(

Also, will leaving these link exchanges lift the penalty off my site?

i woudn't say that signals a penalty. pr can show up in strange places sometimes. ive had pr updates where my home page got a pr4 and internal pages got pr6 when all the links i had obtained were to the homepage. the site was doing nothing shady at all, so i am sure it was not a penalty; just a fluke with the pr distribution on the toolbar.

I've seen a few DPers getting good results with Automated Link Exchange software combined with Buying High PR links but they all seem to do it going one way.

How is the heavy use of your article helped? How many backlinks have you gotten?

Are there any risks with Google's duplicate content penalty?

I think that it has helped, especially on Yahoo & Google.

btw, I just got a PR 4 on my site, so the PR issue was not a penalty. Nonetheless, I am being more careful with automated link exchanges.

Looks like you don't need them. Congradulations your PR was updated today. You are a PR 4 site now. I guess signing up for as many automated Link Exhanges as possible does work but more likely the article being picked up by so many sites is what did it.

The article was good for people who were selling nutrional products because it told them why they needed it thus helping to sell the products.

My homepage PR hasn't changed from PR of 3 but I have about 30 backpages that are now atleast PR2 now optimized for keywords but no change in traffic so it doesn't really matter.

    Has your traffic gone up?

I can't say that my traffic has particularily gone up since the PR update, but I can say that my traffic has gone up over the past month. :)

Yeah, with results like that it just makes since to keep using the automated linking programs for as long as they can get any results. I'm going to start using them for all my domains.
