Dear Forum Friends! Can any one tell me about the article marketing? How can we proceed to increase the visitor through the article marketing.
Article directory is really helpful to generate traffic to your site. Always be selective in your approach(submit your content to quality directory only), it really work out..
Well I too do not know much about article marketing. I too would like to know more about it. I would like to know that is it effective to send to many directories or only 1-5 directories? As there are many article directories. Some people rewrite the article and send to many directories. What I have read till now is that it is very effective if done properly. Your website link is in the author bio section, and that is how you get traffic (by people clicking on it) and also you get back links which is useful from SEO perspective. If you are trying to get backlinks, then submit your article to directories that have do-follow attribute (the below mentioned website shows you this). The advice I got was that only submit to the top 5 directories (there may be other opinions regarding this). vretoolbar lists the Top 50 Article Directories By Traffic and Pagerank: http://www.vretoolbar.com/articles/directories.php
To sum up article directories. You give them unique content, and in return they give you a backlink + their authority for the title phrase/content. This is why many websites submit to ezine because it has a higher chance of ranking well there, then on their own website. If you are in it for the longhaul I would suggest keeping the bulk of articles (if unique) on your own website(s).
Theres alot of "content generators" that article marketers use, I suggest you try to find one (dont know if I can link here). But youll be able to spin thousands of articles, post them on various websites and those will all be links back into your site thus driving massive amounts of traffic.
Well, assuming you want to submit to the top directories, you have to write unique content, as they'll reject spun content if they catch it, or ban your account later on if/when they do catch it. Here is a link to the top 50 directories. I generally submit to the top 6 or 7. There are two different kinds of articles. Those that you write for backlinks and those that you write for direct traffic. You don't worry too much about the content of the first kind--it still has to be a quality article however!--and the second you have to style so that people are compelled to read to end and then click the link in your resource box. And of course, you want those clicks to convert into sales!
If you don't have lots of quality articles and submit them to article submission sites successfully, it is not wise to attract huge traffic. In fact, it is wiser to gain more and more quality DoFollow backlinks.
Like others have said, you need original content to the top article sites like ezine articles, and that will get way more bang for your buck in terms of link quality and traffic than spending your hours spinning a bunch of garbage. I know spinning can be done and used to effect, but 99% of the people trying it are not that good.
Another great way is to use social media marketing and using sites where there are a lot of users who use a network to communicate. Get your article read and it will create a buzz if it's good.
The most beautiful thing about article marketing is that you can harness the power of high PR sites such as ezinearticles.com to get search engine results you would never get with your site alone... But please note that real people will read your articles and they will only follow your links if they feel you are trustworthy and provide quality information. If english is not your first language, DO NOT WRITE ARTICLES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. There's nothing more unprofessional than an article written in broken english. And you don't need to submit to a million of directories or hire a professional to submit for you, the process is pretty simple... Here are the big 4 I usually go for: - EzineArticles.com (High Alexa ranking - top article directory on the web) - Buzzle.com (High PR, articles indexed almost immediately) - GoArticles.com (Articles published within a week and they allow affiliate links) - ArticleDashboard.com (4/10 Google pagerank) Hope that was helpful...
Take the time to write your own articles and heavily proofread them. Also make sure they're adding value for the reader, not just stuffed with keywords for your benefit.
Article marketing works but you need to be consistant with writing articles. If you have money you can outsource your article writing.
article marketing will only get you a small amount of traffic. mostly people use it now to reliably build lasting backlinks.
Its good for building links, and it can gain traffic in the form of clickthrus, but like kb24 said : it must be consistent. A few articles submitted to a directory will not gain much exposure unless its a great article that gets reposted, shared, etc..
Ezine articles is the most congregated article directory. Basically, you post a 500 word article rich on content in hopes that webmasters looking for content will like what you wrote and post the content on their site, placing your link. However, some webmasters are just out for content and don't care about giving you an additional link, essentially robbing you of content. That's why I use Copyscape to deal with those who rob me of links. Generally, you will get more value from the directory itself as it is likely higher PR.
Indeed. In addition, the titles need to be catchy because titles such as "the history of the iPhone" will get you nowhere, you need to give people something they will want to click on and read.. the same goes for the resource boxes used. I've seen many resource boxes where the article is not a writer and yet the resource box pushes self branding instead of promoting the website itself...
