I just wondered for those who use articles to market click bank products how many articles do you have to do to get some results?
I often find 100 articles based around a niche is good....add to that some squidoo articles.. and direct all to an authority blog...with one or two squidoo's direct linking M/cr
I don't suppose the return on time can ever be worked out fully... I have articles I wrote this time last year that still bring in sales...I no longer focus on those niches and they still acquire sales.... it's a mute point really..IMO..because it is totally dependant on the spending power and ability of the market being targeted.... but let's take that niche as an example.. Niche A...I wrote 98 articles...of which 5 were squidoo....and I did 30 on a blog...day after day, single posts of 500 words...social bookmarked them....pinged the blog.etc etc... now...for about 8 months I repeatedly had $200 days from that niche alone....and now it's down at upto $200 a week... but think about it....that was a year ago...and I do nothing more on that niche, yet still i'm getting results to this very day... M/cr
so would you submit to article directories? I run an article directory so adding a hoplink in the article and getting it approved is no problem (after all I run the directory) - http://www.article-gems.com
It always depends on what keyword you are tergeting... for example if you target the keyword "Sex", believe me you will need at least 5000 articles so you will start to have some visits, but if you targeting the keyword "sex is very important every day night and afternoon" then one article may do the job. Do not forget some articles directories like (www.EzineArticles.com) . Google love this kind for article directories.
I only use articles to market CB products. (I know enough about PPC to be dangerous to my bank account) The volume really varies among products. I always start out with only 10 articles for any one product. I then test and evaluate the results over 30 days. Obviously, if I do not get a sale in 30 days I don't continue writing articles. I just let time go by and see what happens. Often you will see sales show up 3-6 months later. That is the beauty of articles...they stay around for a long long time. If I have a few sales, then I write another 5-10 articles and go from there. You'll know when you have a winner, and when you do, you hit it hard. Even an article per day is doable for everyone. I point the articles to a blog. The blog contains a review article as well as a few other posts and links to the product. I leave the dates off the blog also. Pretty simple setup and the results can be amazing, not to mention profitable. Hope that helps.
This guy really knows what he's talking about. seriously. good advice here. I'm going to add rep. I'm also doing something similar and should see good results.
Here is a link to an study done on article marketing... A brand new domain was promoted using only articles and the results where less than 10 total articles submitted and it did bring in sales. http://www.thekaizenbusiness.com/?p=174 As an affiliate legit publishers like ezines will generally accept hoplinks in the bio box (unlike the big directories) so the method discussed will work for you.
theres some good information here thanks all got a question though instead of directing people to a blog from the sig box, would it be effective to send them over to a landing page for a product?
I do, it works, article market drive traffic to a lead capture page build a list then sell them your CB affily products
Do you submit to just one directory or multiple directories - i.e. use an article submission software?
I never, ever use submission software...I don't care how they wanna tell me...Google knows when it's a bot delivering that content.... without a doubt.. M/cr
You should submit your articles to top article directories, such as: www.goarticles.com and www.ezinearticles.com Also create a blog at www.blogger.com I got one question about blogs. Do you create ONE blog, and add many posts to it, or you create many blogs with no posts? I've been using PPC for about 7 months, and I want to try something cheaper or maybe free I am interested in Bum Marketing....
I've had a lot of success using this ebook that I found online... The guy who wrote it really gets deep inside of his marketing plan for Clickbank Affiliates and lays it all out on the table. At first, I was seeing a slow increase in sales... maybe 1 every week and a half. The more I worked what I found in his ebook, the more the sales increased. Now I'm basically at 2-3 a day and I know that I can increase that number as time progresses. If you'd like a copy... just go here and get it for free.
LOL that's a clickbank product for sale I found some good stuff here.. freegoodiesforyou.blogspot.com he's a friend of mine and his stuff is free M/cr
Alstar70 first of all i don't want you to think i am stealing your thread , this isn't my purpose . I am posting here because i think this project can be related to your question. DP members as you already know To find which niche is the best for you on CB , you have to test , eliminate and see what work and what doesn't work for you .What make big money and what doesn't make money at all . Few minutes ago i just launch my new project on CB . The purpose of this project is to see how much money i can get from the niche that i choose to spend time on and which are the best products from this niche ? Steps That i already made and steps that i will make: 1- Got myself a second account with CB , will only use it to promote this niche 2- Picked the best 9 products from this niche 3- Got myself a third account with squidoo ,I only use this account to promote this niche . 4- Publish my articles on EA and Go article . I will also try to use all the stuff that are free like Usfread etc..... 5- I only publish 7 articles because i don't think i will get any sale from the other 2 products . So i didn't waste my time publishing article for them . 6- The project will be close on March 19 . 7- Expectations : want to see how well bum marketing works if you spend time on it and i want to see if i can make 1 K or at least $500 with this niche . What i can not do or tell you : Guys i can not tell you the niche that i picked , i can not tell you the publishers name . KEEP IN MIND : I WILL NOT USE PPC TO PROMOTE THIS NICHE AND I WILL TRY TO PUT A TRACKING IDEA SO YOU CAN SEE WHERE MY SALES ARE COMING FROM IF I MAKE SOME . THE PROJECT WILL BE CLOSE IN MARCH 19 . WISH ME GOOD LUCK MATES . I am also doing this for all the newbies on CB . The lesson will be you have to test and see what work and what doesn't work for you on CB
What I found works best is if you post articles with useful and original information and then link to a review page where you pre sell your CB products. Works like a charm if you are careful with your words.
