Your best bet, in my opinion, is to spin the articles and post them on web 2.0 properties using the linkwheel method.

You can take your original article and in minutes have 7 or 8 others from it if you just sit down and bang them out.

 

Only the inexperienced and or the dumb think it is.

If you aren't on page one of a search, how do you figure that? And even if you are on page one, the traffic still isn't very good.

You make it sound that one is definite to land on page one. It doesn't work that way. It is not guaranteed.

 

I make a regular practice of browsing through my archives for pillar posts. I often repurpose these posts into articles for Article Marketing, meaning I make a few small tweaks and submit them to EzineArticles

 

Doing it right is basically to do it slowly, submit not more than 2-3 articles per week to many article directories. This is done to ensure google will consider the links as normal growth of links and no red flag will be triggered from to many links popping up within a short period of time.

Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf.
it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time making quality contents.

It will be your choice. You may not be aware of the fact that an article submitted on directories is not meant to have the same level of exposure as highly-targeted content ones geared on a narrow group of people.
Learn the difference between these two and it will surely help you know what kinds of articles to write and to submit.

From the statistics on my articles I would say that the most important thing is to have a brilliant Profile. I have a lot of article views, but much more profile views. I think there is several reasons for that:

Search by profile - people is directed to ezines (or another directory) and start surfing. And they search on profiles.

Good article leads to profile view - If anyone see your article and find it any good they will check out your profile to see who you are.

Traffic almost only from profiles - People will only go to your blog or website if they think your profile is interesting, meaning you have more to offer.

I have seen software that can be used to automate the process.. but none that anyone can refer

 

It seems to be widely regarded that article marketing although slow is highly effective with regards to SEO.If one chooses a good keyword with traffic and writes keyword and LSI keyword articles ,place them in the top article directories such as Ezine,Go Articles,article base this can get you up the order on Google very quickly.Add backlinks to the article urls and the spiders will love you even more.Your article url will never be flagged or sandboxed by google ...keep adding links ..stay targeted and the rewards will come.

 

Article marketing is one of my favourites the results are not always immediate but if you write good articles they drive traffic for a long time and create great backlinks to your site.

 

I don't consider it efficient, granted ya'll stuck with starting small.

 

I too like article marketing -- the focus being on writing good articles. It has multiple benefits, from SEO to traffic to establishing credibility. It also drives targeted visitors to your site (or wherever you're sending them).

And it builds on each other, especially if you do some judicious linking.

Of course you can add other ways of driving traffic as well, and I think that's a good idea.

 

Don't write one article and expect an avalanche of traffic. You will experience the occasional "home run" article, but where you'll really see the BIG results is from multiple articles written daily, every day, 3-5 articles per day minimum per primary topic or keyphrase set, and having those articles syndicated on big networks.

Finding your target customer is the idea way to get traffic. Forums work well too.

Yes. I agree article marketing works well. I have a number of blogs I post fresh articles to every week and the traffic has been building up very nicely. Each blog I have not done any backlinks at all. Just fresh content each week and I am impressed with the results so far.
