Hello All: I am new and I'm a writer. I just wanted to get some responses from those of you who use article marketing as a strategy. I would like to incorporate it into my promotional tasks, but wanted to get some feedback from some of you who have gone before me. How do you determine if it is working for you or not? I'm wondering how measurable it is as a strategy. Any responses will be appreciated, I'm just trying to save myself some precious time. Thank you all. Regards- Tybotica
Article marketing definitely works, but only when you are building on a strong foundation based on niche research. If you are using good keywords in a profitable niche, then you will see the results of your article marketing in the form of traffic and sales. On the other hand, if you start with keywords that have too much competition, or are too narrow, or are in a niche in which people are not spending money, then article marketing is simply a waste of effort.
Article marketing can be beneficial, but you have to do it the right way. A lot of the article bases aren't getting a lot of results from Google anymore. If you are able to produce quality content you might want to consider your hand out guest posting on blogs. A really great resource for this is myblogguest.com, check it out. Hope that helps you.
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but you're getting in at the wrong time as far as article marketing is concerned. As a lot of people know Google recently changed their algorithm towards content farm type sites in Feb. 2011 which includes all of the main article directories and the big one Ezine. Several of my Ezine & Go articles that were on page one of Google are now at page two and three and that is so frustrating. The new rules for Ezine article are minimum word count 400 (old was 250+), average time for article to be checked three weeks (7 - 10 days before change) and approximately 60% rejection due to new Google algorithm (35% before Feb 2011). Article marketing can still be a reasonable weapon in your online armoury but much less powerful than prior to Feb. 2011 and please bear these points before you embark on any of your future article endeavors. Mark
I think article marketing as a way for people to get to know you is still valuable. If they find your article, read it and click through your links, they will already have some knowledge of you and that will help build trust. As far as backlinks and SEO, it is debatable how beneficial it is. But to get your name out there and get people to your site, it's still helpful.
you need a quality content , submission article site , submit article site, some blog, some forum and social site.
Article marketing is getting tougher, so don't expect it to be a easy journey, it takes time to build up a profile and get your articles ranking for keywords, to be honest unless they've got very low competition, it's going to be a pain getting ranked for most long tail keywords these days, like previously said, the Panda update's have basically ruined what we knew as article marketing and this new generation of article marketing has begun.
You can still get your articles ranking for keywords - it is the cleanest way to get FREE TRAFFIC ..........
Article marketing still works okay as for me. Yes, google has changed its algorithm, and many crappy articles were down. Anyway, well written articles still bring traffic.
Fbi Raid Plz, thanks for your post, I would agree, you have to not only have good content but also build up your profile and have a variety of content. It's also important to have more than a couple articles that you have written (another way to build your profile).
You can be rest assured that you will get good results in the long run if you start and continue on a regular basis to submit good quality articles. The quality is very important if you are to get the results you desire to have.
I still use Article Marketing everyday. It is more for traffic to my site, than to try and sell something. I actually own my own directory, and when I search for the directory on Google, I have over 13,000 links into it because of the articles that are in there. I still believe that you can use articles to get your name and business out there. Don't give up!
