Ok I will share here some important article marketing strategies. I'm expecting that everone will post his suggestions here not just feed off the information by me and by the others, if you think of a good idea just post it so that we can all learn together or improve our skills in this very important sector.(we won't laugh at you or mock you, every opinion and technique is important and will be accepted). First lets start off with suggesting article directories, the best in my opinion are: ezinearticles goarticles articlebase Well now, most of you should know that if you do it right, by this I mean writing good articles or stealing them(Not suggesting it) you will get tons of traffic. In the articles that you make you can promote your product your website or someone else's product. Lets say Your niche fitness, ok. Write something about fitness, or find some article about fitness and take the idea from that article. Write something between 200-500, that should be enough in my opinion you do not wanna get your readers bored. Includes words in anchor text that link to your "website or product". Make a catchy title(very important). and submit your article is that simple. Now don't expect to see a lot of difference with just one article, but it you make a bunch and submit them to article directories you will get some good traffic and some very powerful backlinks. For your articles to get more visibility you can submit them to social bookmarking sites , forums or anything you can think off.
i think in your small post cover 90% of article marketing strategy but i don't like to name it strategy as it is very simple ways , can do it even newbies but the tactics is how to write articles by easy manner , i think you know how many time writing one article may consume. so what we need now is the fastest way to write article, this is the issue now. anyone have ideas for this " NOT BLACKHAT"
Very honestly--and I track this carefully--I get only modest amounts of traffic from a site like ezinearticles dot com. Also, when I look for, say, Yahoo's recgonition of an ezinearticles dot com link to a site of mine, I'm not sure I ever see it. Though I still post articles to ezinearticles dot com, I conclude that I get very little SEO benefit... I.e., no measurable traffic and seemingly little link juice. (I assume ezinearticles is clever about cloaking the links.) BTW, that doesn't mean that I don't think articles work. I think they do. But what works is to have an article you write about widgets appear at a site that's all about widgets. If you use the word widgets in your article title and a few times in your article text, well, that seems to work really well.
I actually make a great deal of money from article marketing... It can be very profitable when done right Here are some essential ingredients of a good article: 1) A great headline that includes your targeted keywords ( I suggest Highly targeted longtail keywords) 2) People can skim it easily, so you want multiple subheadings throughout your article 3) Your taglines and lead-ins should be catchy, so they grab the reader's attention and get them wanting to read more. 4) Your article should contain bullet points, so your reader can easily skim through your article, pick out the pieces they want and move on. You DO NOT write an article on the Web the same way as you would write an article for a book! If you write an article with long and boring paragraphs, no one is going to get to the end of the article and click on your links Remember, you are not writing a novel here, you are writing a SHORT article (I suggest 250-300 words max) Highlight the key points of your article, keep it short, sweet and to the point. Lastly, make your reader WANT MORE, that is the reason they click through your link.
I've commented on this before but it is better to keep your good content for yourself and rewrite your articles for directories. You can get a fair amount of traffic the day your article hits front page but after that it is a trickle. The back links are good but article marketing is not something I would pursue it would be something I do when everything else is done. That being a never ending process I barely get around to article marketing. You have to decide if you want to solely do article marketing or do other forms of work for your site. The best thing to do is hire someone to write your articles for article marketing.
Nice post man. I am also considering making article marketing and directory submissions the focal point of my marketing. I have written good articles but I have not began posting it around. The thing is, its so time consuming to register for each of these article sites and fill out multiple forms. Is there a way ti expedite this or what are the top 5 article sites that I should submit to? Please let me know. Thanks
1. EzineArticles 2. GoArticles 3. WebProNews 4. ArticleDashboard 5. SearchWarp Remember... DO NOT submit the SAME article to the directories as Google will only display your article from one directory and the others will just end up in the supplementary results Also, if you submit an article to, lets say... GoArticles and then you submit the same article to ezinearticles, you will likely get your account banned for trying to submit duplicate content.
Wow. Thank you so much. This helps a lot. I really appreciate it. I submitted articles before and I ended up submitting the same articles to each site, maybe that is why I have not found alot of the articles I posted lol. How well does article submission help your link popularity?
