I will definitely plan on keeping the articles going and I will see what they can do from my business. Plus, I now understand that keywords are very important when writing articles. Article marketing will always work. You just need to target right keyword and write articles in such a way that make people want to visit your website. Having said that, you can also get more traffic by creating videos & podcasts from your articles and distribute them to video & podcast sites. Another way is to create and submit press releases related to your niche. The options are endless really, you just need to try them to see which ones bring most traffic to your site. Regards, Anup
Ive found that article marketing (my main means of getting links) is still effective and have seen some increases in google rankings, im not sure if its the best method tho.
Articles are very effective and you can influences rankings quite easily with a planned article marketing campaign. they are worth the while...
It's certainly not as effective even 3 years ago, but it is still an effective way to circulate your content and receive back links for it. Also if you write about a topic that gets a lot of searches (kws in title), and you circulate it to hundreds of websites, and bookmark those, then chances are your articles will not only help you in terms of SEO but referral traffic.
Definately worth it if you're doing it right! I agree with others though - Not as effective as before. So many people are doing it now and with outsourcing now the rates are going down.
A simple answer - Yes, article marketing is worth it, to a point. Its just not as easy as writing an article and submitting it to directories, forums, blogs, website, publishers, groups and so-on and expect to get any particular type of traffic, or any traffic at all for that matter. You need to optimize those articles both for the Search Engines and for your readers. An INCORRECTLY or not optimized article won't get you anywhere. Might get you some backlinks, but that's not enough. The better the article reads, looks and feels, the better the results you're going to get... Depending on the length of your article, you can have your keywords appear more than 3-5 times, but not too much, because then you would be "Keyword Stuffing". Keywords shouldn’t appear back-to-back either, but in separate sentences and paragraphs so you read them throughout the article.
I think it clearly still works, but it is certainly a lot of work. You may want to create one original article and put it on someplace like ezine and then spin it with something like Best Spinner
So I'm just starting to get on board with article marketing. From what I understand ezine articles is the big daddy of articles for SEO. But I have a series of questions: 1) Can I post a duplicate of the article I submitted there to other article sites? 2) Is there an article directory list I should have bookmarked for submitting these? 3) Should I post these ezine articles on my site as well (or maybe just a link to the article?) 4) I've got a good webcam and could easily sum up an article vlog-style... Where would I submit such content? Thanks for the tips!
There are several great article posing sites, such as articlebase, ezinearticles, they can bring traffic and high quality backlinks to your site. Great article is always a very good way to advertise your site. It can't be a past thing.
