Hi to all, I'm just after some advice about resource boxes in articles. When writing an article, is it better to have hyperlinks of the keywords that I am targeting in the resource box or just have a hyperlink in the resource box of my site address with my keywords embedded in the article content itself? My article submissions are intended for gaining backlinks for ranking and not really for traffic generation so does it make any difference with the above. I'm asking because a lot of the time it's not practical for me to have the keyword hyperlinks in the resource box and would be better placed in the content. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, John.
If I do send articles out that have my site address only in the resource box without optimised keywords and no keywords in the content, will the articles still have an impact on my site pagerank just because of the fact that my articles are pointing towards my site? Thanks, John.
Yea, I try to do it all as well. I try to use keywords in the summary, article body, and the resource box all three.
Thanks but if I don't want to do any of that but just have my site adddress in the resource box will this still have the hopeful affect on my site ranking with enough submissions? Just whilst I'm on the subject, will the article submissions with only the site name in the resource box affect my site ranking for the keywords that are optimised on the site itself? Thanks, John.
If your article is generating visitors that will help your page rank and make your backlinks more potent.
It do have some effect but to be concerned too much of so many thing can sometime prevent us from doing the necessary job. What I suggest is just make different copies of your resources box. And when you make the submission alternate those resources box.
I have just started recently on article marketing so I have not seen the effects of it yet but I think right now Google is weighing the in article links heavier than links outside of text at the bottom but I may be wrong. I usually just put the main site link at the bottom in the resource box and put 1-2 links in content of pages other than the main website link such as mainwebsite.com and mainwebsite.com/page2 for the in-content of article.
Some people just grab articles from directories, copy and paste it without caring much about hyperlink. If you have full URL in the resource box - no matter if it's hyperlink or not - it will leave little more chance that you get link from whoever took your article.
use hyperlink is better, it make your reader easily to track your site. I do agree 'redspace' method, its keep fresh content about site. same thing when do directory submission.
would like to know, experience wise, is it best to hit as many article directories as possible for article submission or should you just submit to, say, the top 5, 10, 20 directories? also, what do you think of (using) some of these article submitter services and software being promoted? cheers, alx
There is no use of giving direct URLs. It's better you anchor the text in body as well as resource box. Try to give 1-2 anchored texts (targeted keywords) in article body, 1 in resource box and you can direct the user to your website by "To have a better idea about products/ services or info, you can visit www.domain.com" It works better
Keyword anchor text is definitely better for SEO purposes. I do a lot of article marketing myself and that's what I do.
Some article directories do not allow, embedded links within your article, so I would stay with the resource box signature links
Hey John, My advice plain and simple, Just stay with the resource box link. That way all your articles will be accepted and recognized. Good Pluck
